one of the problems you have as you get more popular is that more and more assholes try and get on to the site for free. we have so many people coming to the front page every day and many more regular users with legit passes, and then when the assholes send hacked passes to TS message boards we get killed and the bandwidth just kills the pipeline and the site slows to a crawl. thankfully I am in LA right now and can work side-by-side with Bueno on this and correct it, but we are having a hard time locating the particular pass that is fucking everything up. Right now the site is back to normal speed-wise, because we had to kill EVERY pass for 5 minutes; when that happens, every person using a hacked pass [and unfortunately all of our regular guys] get kicked out of the site for a few minutes; the hackers hopefully won't remember their shitty hacked passes and won't be able to come back in.
for you guys that have experienced slowe service than normal these last 2 days, so sorry; it is not fun for us either when the site slows to a crawl, even with broadband service. we were using over 100 gigs a day these last 2 days while we usually use about 75 max. and hackers think that spreading passes around doesn't hurt anyone; what about all the guys that had to experience a slow-loading site for 2 days? what about the guys that work here and have to deal with this shit? we lose money and time and it's a bunch of shit.
anyway, we are working on it....if you had password problems, and you are reading this now, I am glad to see you are all set now. sorry for the trouble but every site goes through this at times.
