Yes, although a Montreal Canadiens fan, I had a lot of admiration and respect for Gordie Howe. A big loss for hockey and Canada.

Old school hockey player; they don't make them like that anymore. On a side note, seems nobody wants a 45 year old Jaromir Jagr on their team; no calls for the free agent; maybe it's time for him to get into coaching and hang up the skates.

Maybe Edmonton will pick him up for some playoff and veteran experience.
Their team is really young and powerful but they could probably use some experienced grinders to win a cup again.
