                  • Hello Beto,

                    Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you have the main part of your plans worked out already.
The best advice I can give you at the moment is do a search for each of the main Bangkok bars and read up about them.
They are Guess, Cascades, Obsessions, Casanova and KC3 (Kings Castle 3).

The other thing I would say is DO NOT change any money in Germany - you get a much better rate in Thailand and there are many banks in the airport arrivals area.

                    RR.
Pedants rule, OK. Or more precisely, exhibit certain of the conventional trappings of leadership.

                      • Thanks for the welcome, I wont be going by way of Germany but the same is true if one would try to change money in the US and if any of you ever make it to Brazil stay away from airport exchanges and banks as well. In Brazil the best way to exchange is in travel agencies.

                        • Hello Beto,

Oopps sorry! I see you are in the US.

OK - don't change any money in the US as you will get a better rate in Thailand. Probably around 2 Baht/US$ better!
Also you get charged 3 Baht for every travellers cheque you exchange so only bring large denomination cheques.

                          RR.

Good info on traveller checks, however 3 Baht wont break the bank, thats a lot better than what some other places charge.
