Just sold my home, recently single and made a profit on the home. I'm thinking post-world pandemic, a journey to Thailand is in order. Any guides I should look into, tips, etc? I have a lot of questions but don't want to be that annoying guy just yet so I figured I'd start with a Hello and "Guide me, oh wise ones." =) Huzzah.

Hey welcome Finalflash. A recently single guy with money is made for Thailand. It is possible post covid Thailand will be good.
By now the ladyboys are getting pretty desperate for tourists so they may be very eager. It is possible some bars many not open right away or ever again, however there is still lots of ways to meet the ladyboys. In Thailand you can meet them everywhere. If you are young and good looking you can probably pick them up anywhere, not just ladyboy bars. Sites like thaifriendly.com have most of the available ladyboys in Thailand.
However many of the ladyboy bars that are owned by large companies or well off people should still be there.

For a ladyboy lover I think there is two main things to see in Thailand. The first is Nana Plaza in Bangkok. This places is a 3 story plaza full of gogo bars with about 5-8 ladyboy bars usually. Some of the worlds most desirable ladyboys work in these bars. Bangkok itself probably has the most gorgeous ladyboys of any city anywhere.
The Bangkok forum is here and gives you an idea of the options there.
    https://theladyboyforums.com/asiaboa...-ladyboy-scene

The next would be a trip to Pattaya where there is more ladyboys per square inch that anywhere on earth. It is not big like Bangkok but it is cheap, near the beach and choc full of ladyboys. A good majority are new comers from the country side. Pattaya is 1-2 hour drive from Bangkok and cars are quite cheap.
Many different bars there and much more of a party attitude. Plus Pattaya is significantly cheaper than Bangkok.
    https://theladyboyforums.com/asiaboa...-ladyboy-scene

As far as places to stay we have lots of information on Bangkok and Pattaya lodging.
Bangkok is more expensive that other places in Thailand but cheap compared to other countries. I try to stay in 4 star hotels in Bangkok since they are very cheap compared to home. The Dynasty Grande is a top favorite of many here, perfect for the first timer in Bangkok.
In Pattaya hotels can be very cheap and very expensive if you want real beach side luxury. Generally i have started leaning towards renting apartments such as the View Talay 6. But again hotels are usually better for the first timers until you know the ropes. Hotels screen your visitors and check and take IDs. So they can help ensure your guests are not going to give you problems age wise or any other way. Often the hotels know the local trouble makers or can spot them easily. In an apartment they normally don't screen guests. Check out the hotels forums there is lots of pics and descriptions.

If you have any questions just ask on any thread.
    cheers

      Thoughtful response, Crag.

I'll be sure to check the links. I will admit that I'm probably on the naive side and, post-failed engagement, the idea of two random hours with someone I don't know...is less thrilled than I'd like to think. Maybe in a few months time, that will change. I suppose my gut reaction to a change in my life is to ask if the idea of a holiday girlfriend or travel companion+ is a bit over my skis seeing as I'm a first timer with no experience with overseas travel, currency exchanging or general sense of how to maximize my money in that environment. Everything I thought I knew about Thailand and my interests pre-virus..has been completely changed now and so I, like everyone else, am waiting on standby. Can I expect to have varied experiences when I come or should I really focus on small victories, avoiding any emotional attachment (repeat business/friendships/etc) and the like?

As much as I want Thailand to be catharsis, I also need to learn how to swim while out at sea. =)

It's a positive idea to hope to meet a holiday girlfriend. It was probably easier 10 years ago than now. Even 10 years ago, you had to pay for the service but there were still good opportunities. Right before the Covid19 crisis, the service had become so expensive that it almost didn't exist and ladyboys would prefer to work as short timers. No one knows what the market after the crisis will look like. Perhaps you can expect ladyboys to lower prices to have a customer when one comes, perhaps it will be wild since they will want as much money as before with less customers, or perhaps many ladyboys won't go back to Bangkok or Pattaya.

You are young and newbies are sometimes luckier than old timers since they follow their own way. Try to find useful information and to draw your own line on the paper.

The beauty of Thailand is if you find one you like it doesn't have to only be for a couple hours. Myself I'm not big on the short time thing, but i do it once in a while. I usually find myself staying with one ladyboy. You don't have to totally commit to the ladyboy scene as there is some pretty nice girls you might meet too. (or both)

However if you want a nice beach vacation you can take a ladyboy to Koh Chang or something like that.

You can find ladyboys in Phuket and they do have nice beaches, but is is expensive and crowded usually.

Stupid question, I'm sure, but how is the interaction between thai women and ladyboys? If I ever wanted to have a threesome with one of each, is that even calculable or should I stick to two ladyboys or two thai women? Also, I've heard about thai massages and BJ bars? Are they worth the value? Should I try them at least once? Or do you find them to be a waste of finite resources? There are soo many questions, too many questions..lol

Girls in Thailand are far more accepting of ladyboys than other countries. Some of the time it is hard to even get rid of ladies and ladyboys if they like you, so it is much harder to offend a girl when you say you want a 3some with a ladyboy. Sometimes the girls may have a ladyboy friend or vice versa.

In Pattaya many bars have ladyboys and ladies working in the same bar. If you go to those places the bar girls will usually go with a ladyboy from the same bar.

Thai massage is great but i don't go for the happy endings, i go for a good massage. If I want happy endings i go to the professionals, not some random masseuse.
However if you are into that most massage girls will offer. Usually a one hour massage is $5-$15.
I would recommend the soapy massages in Pattaya. These are special massage places that only have girls as far as i know.
You go there have a drink and choose a girl from behind the glass. She then takes you up to a room where they put you on a inflatable pool mattress on the floor and soap you right up. Then the girl rubs her body up and down yours, there is nothing like it. Luckily i chose a full figured girl with big tits because it felt awesome. A skinny little Thai girl would not have been as good I think.

There is some blowjob bars around but i have never been to one. If you stay at the Dynasty Grande Lolita Bangkok is just down the street and apparently they give some of the best Blow jobs in the world. I've heard if you don't cum it is free. However some of these type of places there is little privacy and you may have spectators.
Everything you have ever dreamed of can be had in the Nana area of Bangkok.

Good info again, sir! So...travel. How do I sequence this to maximize funds? Should I look to bundle hotel and flight online? Should I find a cheap flight in and THEN book hotels? What is the best advice you can give with that? Also - realistically, how much money should I have access to for this trip? I'm looking for varied debauchery, yes, but also good food, some scenery and honestly, I'm a big history fan (especially military) so if there are sights to see and places to visit, I'm likely down for that.

The best is to get a flight, then worry about the hotel later.
I've never thought booking packages is a good idea. There is so many good and cheap hotels in Thailand it is not hard to find what you want.
agoda.com is the best place to book for Thailand hotels. Just read some of the reviews here, to understand the best locatons.

You really don't need much of a Pattaya guide for anythiing other than soapy's.
There is so many bars and experiences in Pattaya that you just kind of walk around and fight off the fun.
If you cannot find action in Pattaya you must be locked in a shed.

Everything you need to know for ladyboys can be found here.
You don't even need help finding girls, they will be all over you.
If you go to a disco they will hit on you, hot girls are everywhere.

There is many tours of temples and ruins and such. The big attraction in Bangkok is the grand temple.
There is tour places everywhere you can get on demand, so don't worry about booking that in advance.
Khao San road is another great place and awesome for younger people.
one of the hottest girls i've ever seen was there, she was some type of blonde european.
                      https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attractio...d-Bangkok.html

The ruins north of Thailand you can see the results of constant wars between Burma and Siam over centuries.

There is an air force base and airport in Thailand that used to be a US airforce base during the Vietnam war. All air missions to Vietnam came from this base.
This is the reason that Pattaya became a huge red light zone. The American GIs flooded this place and girls from all over came to meet them. This was probably also the start of the ladyboys partly because they wanted in on the GI action too. The US navy still has port calls in Pattaya, it gets crazy then.

At Koh Chang it is a National Park and you can scuba dive around sunken Cambodian and Thai ships from a past conflict.

Every man in Thailand must be in the military. Ladyboys have to go to be inspected and approved to avoid service.
There is many military things to see, the whole country is run by them

This hotel is closed now. Just checked. Funny Dynasty Grande is really named Pharchara Suites. Big studio-like room with kitchenette, washing machine, TV, strong AC with controls on the wall (no remote control), good location if you like to leisurely walk a hundred meters on a flat landscape, Nana Plaza's Soi 4 location is a pretty dirty street. Had a lot of road construction last Christmas just like in Pattaya. Caused a lot of tourists and myself fits of coughing and hacking. Bummer. Pharchara is a nice choice to stay but birdfeed free breakfasts. Walk outside, turn left and walk to the fork where Soi 6 takes a dogleg to the left. Do not go there. Keep walking straight in a cheap girlie bar and you will see a passage way into the next street. That's the wonderful Soi 8 where you'll find Monsoon Restaurant. Great buffet brunch with oh so fresh fruits, Thai stews, eggs done anyway you want and served to you like a king. Lots of smiles to go around. The Monsoon is really the restaurant situated at the bottom of the Adelphi Suites, another fine hotel. A bit more expensive. Christian XXX did film some Thai ladyboy porn from this hotel. Here's a Google map of Pharchara Hotel, Sois 4, 6, and 8. Note that all the even numbered Sois are south of Sukhumvit and the odd numbers are north of it. Very crooked streets but the confusion is fun to walk through. Ladybodys on every street, nook, creek, and alleyway. Hookers on Soi 4 are really full of dirty types so you'll have to be not so gullible and do be suspicious. Don't be so friendly and stupid. Y'know what I mean. But then, you will find some weirdly beautiful Katoeys and even some porn stars who look very young and sexy. Stay away from the ultra young kids standing in front of the Nana Hotel front sign. They're jailbait. I don't know why the cops don't clear them away. Could be working for the cops at bait for horny tourists and farangs. At's why they're called jailbait. Unnerstand? I stayed at On8 Hotel at the corner of Soi 8 and was really lucky to find a nice boutique hotel that was reasonably priced. There's a nice surprise about this place. The escalator to the second floor skytrain in right outside the front door. Whoa. That is service! This Skytrain is so cheap and the minute you step into this technological marvel your glasses with steam up because the AC is refreshingly FREEZING cold. When you taka trip to the marvelous Chatuchak Market in this same train you will enter the BESTEST flea market in the world. Everything you want to buy is there. Everything you want to eat is there. So's the fruit smoothies, displays of boiled fat shrimp on Styrofoam trays wrapped in cellophane along with BBQed squid, backed pork skins with hard burned crusts, and everything to crave your hunger and thirst. You'll love the Thai furniture with carvings of Buddhas along with statues of Ganesh, and Asian gods you never knew about. You'll indeed be Godsmacked at so many wonderful things you have been missing all your life. I have shot pictures of my experiences in Thailand since 2012. Just look for my site called
My Thai photo collection 2012 to 2019 and My Thai photo collection 2012 to 2019 Set 2. These photos will blow your mind and drive you stark raving mad. There's so many things to see and do in the land called the Land of Smiles (LOS). So keep your hands on top of your wallet, don't be so eager to make friends, and walk and walk all over Bangkok and Pattaya where the gorgeous ladyboys play and indulge every naughty wish you have discreetely.

Do check the travel restrictions before you go. As of now no airlines are allowed entry. It is shut down. Pattaya people are starving and on the brink of crime. Or so sez PattayaOne.net and pattayamail.com. REad also NationThailand.com and BangkokPost.com to keep abreast of local happenings. Also read StickmanBangkok.com and just type in Thailand news at the Google box and read every newspaper. Coronavirus has hit Thailand but funny thing. There are very few infections and deaths. Don't know why. Yes, they have hot humid temperatures but also some of the worst pollution readings in the world. Chiangmai is the most polluted city in the world, bar none. Pattaya is in a very sad state now thanks to shut down bars, restaurants, tattoo parlors, etc. Peope are out in the streets waiting for free food. They are sad and you don't want to be there when they are at their worst. Many of the ladyboys have returned to their provinces in Isaan and northern Thailand. They are now safe from the virus, but what are they going to do for jobs and money? Nobody's going to want to have sex with them. They are very scared and so are the tourists who have been the main engine of the Thai economy. They are not coming here. I don't think even landlords want to rent to foreigners who might be harbingers of death. As a matter of fact the general attitude of Thais are they HATE outsiders. Chinese and all forms of Caucasian. You don't want to be seen walking around smiling and taking pictures. They will grab you, scratch your faces, rip your pockets open. Mo beddah you stay home for now and wait for a vaccine. Wait until the storm subsides. Read the newspapers. Moderna has announced their human test subjects are now producing ANTIBODIES successfully. And in numbers sufficient to fight the virus after being inoculated with the actual virus itself. The stock markets across the world shot up in unison. BUT there still needs to be discovered how long the antibodies will last. If long, then how long? One year? Two years? Ten? If it is short-lived then might have to get vaccinated every year like the Flu shots? Now what happens if C mutates into a more virulent form and the vaccines don't work. Then gotta restart the research. I would NOT move to Thailand or any other place away from my home. Maybe visit for 2 months like me but forget about long-term stays.

So please wait a bit for now. Just read the Thai papers online and read TheLadyboyForums.com. Enjoy life.
