Some of the stuff is straight up true in there but other stuff is kind of extremist.
Not everyone is a criminal trying to rip you off. Handicapped guys begging are usually not part of any mafia.
Usually I go by what ladyboys I'm with do. They don't give to mothers that bring their children to Nana to beg but they might give to kids in other locations of the city.
Some have specifically said it is not respectful to bring your child there to beg.
They always seem to give to most handicapped people.
The part about tourist not bringing their children to Nana, well that is probably common sense.
However most Thai people don't think much of bringing their kids almost anywhere without guilt.
While Pattaya isn't the optimum family vacation for westerners, Thais have no problem taking their kids there
There is kids all over walking street all the time and they are not being sold, either working or with family.
No one is taking the kids into gogo bars but no one is hiding it either.
Western tourists taking their kids to Thailand should be aware of the cultural differences.
If you are overly protective, sensitive or very politically correct, Thailand is probably not for you.
The part about foreign single men are probably just there looking for sex, well that is mostly true.
Partly you must consider that most single men are looking for sex, why wouldn't they be looking for it in Thailand?
Obviously everyone knows that it is easy to find a GF or date in Thailand if you are a Falang.
The only foreign single men not looking for sex would be people there for religious, medical or business purposes perhaps.
