Crackdown on vagabond Ladyboys!

Phuket police have reported a crack down on vagabon ladyboys who are causing trouble (pickpockets,fighting, and generally being a nusiance.

This story appeared on thaivisa yesterday. If the girls can prove they work for a local business then no problem only the girls who have no place of work will be targeted with fines from 300-500baht.

The police chief says many of the trouble makers come from Pattaya and other districts.

Ladyboys (especially freelancers) are continually targeted by cops.

It's been this way in every city in Thailand for ever... even the smaller cities farangs never go to.

Oftentimes they deserve it but more often than not they always seem to have money so the cops think 'why not!'

If the fines are a piddling 300 to 500 baht in Phuket I hardly think this 'crackdown' will change anything there!

This is just PR bullshit. There's no more of a "crackdown" than ever - there are good and bad ones about.

Sometimes there's a round-up, if something serious happens, often nothing to do with LBs, its just that the police need to be seen doing something.

But this is just a bullshit press release.
