  • Posting a selfie with your beer can get you in trouble in Thailand.

The Thai government introduced its alcohol ban forbidding people from advertising alcoholic drinks and brand names and logos in 2008, but there seems to have been a new effort to crackdown on social media promotions recently.

"The three promoters were arrested overnight on 31 July after posting a five-minute long Facebook live video on 23 July promoting ?buy one, get one [free]? beer sale in revealing outfits for a bar in Saraburi?s Muang district, reported The Nation."

Big dogs had a promotion where you get a free drink if you post a picture of yourself in the bar on Facebook and tag Big Dogs.
I guess it was a bad idea for us to do that. Funny the bar itself would not be held responsible for these types of things.

Three Thai women have been officially charged with violating Thailand’s 'Alcoholic Beverage Control Act 2008' for promoting beer sales on Facebook, which could lead to up to 200,000 baht (US$6,016) fine.

Before your head down to Thailand for your next vacation, here is one thing that you need to know. If you are caught taking a selfie with your alcoholic drink, then you are in deep trouble. Thailand’s party life and street foods are bucket list worthy and must-do-before-you-die kind of experiences. But they can also get you […]

Despite the country’s many Full Moon parties and bar girls, alcohol advertising is illegal. And posting a photo on social media of your beer by the beach could count as advertising.

I was never good at selfies nor do I really like taking them, and if I did they will be saved in clouds and deleted from my phone :-)
    so I am safe
but thanks for posting these types of warnings, it's good to know what not to do as we all know what we want to do and we feel it is harmless.
I just feel the harsher they are on tourists the more it might hurt them in the long run

Well it's not just selfies but any pictures featuring alcohol that you may post on social media.
Fortunately it is mostly Thai citizens posting on Facebook they are after.
Thai authorities are all over Facebook, but I believe Thais post more pictures on social media per capita than any country on earth.

I believe that, in Southeast Asia people post every second of their lives on facebook. In the philippines it's free even without an internet connection. Must be the same story in Thailand (?)
If I lived in Thailand man I'd forget what facebook is...

When J Lawrence got her private nude shots stolen they were stored on iCloud. I think the NSA and CIA have fun invading everybody's privacy in the name of Homeland Security. Maybe even helping the Thai government, too. Lucky for me I have nothing to hide. I don't even bother to Google it.

Thailand is the most photographed country on earth, so they are definitely posting lots of pictures.
One of the shopping malls in Bangkok is one of the most photographed places on earth.
Sure, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Grand Canyon have inspired many photographs. But a shopping mall in Bangkok has claimed this year's crown as the world's most photographed location on Instagram.

A majority if Thais are glued to facebook and other social media.
This is the problem with some ladyboys is you can't get them off their phones even during sex.
You need to take it and lock it in your room safe!

I think the powers that be are mainly monitoring facebook.

When you bring a ladyboy to your hotel room. Three things. Wipe off lipstick, wash everywhere, and turn off everybody's cell phones and lock 'em up. Hate when they watch Facebook when forking and sucking. Some can't even cum without cell porn. No class!

I have never taken their phones but a few can't seem to get off them and need to be scolded.
Most of the time they are pretty good and sometimes they use them to take sexy pictures or video.

Then I'll definitely need to take their phones away and lock them in the safe.

What I really hate is a cell phone ringing just as I'm cumming. They are loud and irritating in any form of music or ring. Also if they're going to stay all night they will not steal your things while you're sleeping. Tell them no phone while they're on the payroll. Be strict and spank 'em. They like a man who exerts CONTROL. Love bondage and so will you if you try it out. Heh Heh! Turn off the phone and lock 'em up. Funny you could force them to cum two more times before you release them. Also do NOT let them take pictures of YOUR face eating them out. Good way to get extorted. I kid you not. You better be on alert every minute you are in Thailand. WooWoo! It's September already. Gotta make reservations for my winter recharging vacation. Gotta make like it's the Last of the Ladyboys tour. Never know what Chan-ocha and junta thinks up these days.

If the ladyboys leave their ID at the front desk of your hotel there is little risk of them stealing.
Otherwise if you are not in a hotel you could put their ID in your safe or somewhere until they leave.
I suspect getting their ID from them would be far easier then having them give up their phones.
They seem to have no problem showing anyone their ID.

Good tip thanks! I think I will definitely take their phones away or have them put it away at least while we are having fun.

The hotels actually insist you leave your dates ID at the front desk.
It is part of how they protect you by protecting themselves.
Some hotels phone you before they give the girls back their ID.
                            Everything ok up there?

The Marriot hotels are one of the few that doesn't seem to care or want ID.

Even though they leave their ID's at the desk, one stole a half-filled bottle of Listerine I left in the bathroom. Now I clear the bathroom of all my stuff in a basket or box. I think one even stole a roll of toilet paper, and I didn't notice it until a few days later. So remember to turn off their cells and lock them up WITH your WALLET and the contents of your pocket. These are prostitutes you're dealing with. Make sure they didn't steal your AC and TV remote controls or your shower head. That's how crazy these whores are. Back in the Philippines one stole my Kodak instamatic camera and a can of pork and beans. Lucky I didn't buy my Nikon until later on. One whore from NEP Obsessions even brought a big empty shopping bag. She wanted me to take a shower. I had to pull her with me into the bathroom and she was a crybaby. I knew what she was doing. Don't ever trust or assume they are honest. Thailand is corrupt.
