  • Novotel Soi 4

If you like to splurge for one or two days, try the brand new Novotel Sukhumvit 4. Opened only 2 months ago. Costed me about US$105.00 per day close to Christmas Day. Looks like JW Marriot upper class for half the price. This place is on the same street as Nana Plaza and about a hundred meters south on the same street. Next door to Phachara Suites Hotel. Will start ending my Thai vacations here as it is very restful and got carpeting. Everything is new. Nice restaurant downstairs opens at 6 AM. Brought a new friend for an hours so yes, they allow Katoeys after holding their ID's. Excellent service all around. Medium-sized infinity swimming pool with a bar. Had 2 pretty tattooed Russian girls trying to tan in a heavy smog. Air pollution warnings were in effect when I was there. Hope it doesn't become a regular thing for December. Yes, you can bring a Katoey guest to stay with you since you are paying for double occupancy. I asked, and they said okay. But then why would I want to do that if I want to entertain some new dates from Nana Plaza?

Almost every hotel in Thailand are guest friendly. If you took a room for 2 persons, there will be no issue, even if the guest is a ladyboy. It's apart of the business. If you bring back 2 guests or more, they are likely to ask you to pay for an extra. One should review only hotels who don't accept ladyboys.

I like to hear reviews from real people to hear what rooms are really like. It is hard to really see how big the pools are or other specifics about the room like prices.
Plus in Thailand rooms are often more run down than they appear.

A majority of hotels in Thailand are guest friendly but some are not and some charge for all guest no matter if you book for 2 or not.
Almost all hotels will let you check in with a ladyboy if you book for 2 but it is different if you are just bringing them home for the night.

Even if they allow ladyboys they may not be "friendly" to them.
Some hotels let me bring more than one ladyboys for free and others have charged me up to 2000 baht for bringing more that one.
GM Suites on Soi 3 where i just stayed charged 1000 baht for all guests.
A-1 Beach resort in Pattaya charged for all guests but when we complained they allowed us one as we booked for 2, but everyone books for 2 anyways.
This resort was very discriminatory towards ladyboys and they warned us to be careful of the ladyboys.

I have heard of some hotels that do have "no ladyboy" policies, like the Grand Sukhumvit on Soi 6 and Eastin Hotels and even the Sofitel.

When I checked into Novotel 4 I asked how many persons could stay in the room. Two. I was booked for double occupancy so I could have brought a friend from Pattaya. I did visit Mercury Bar the next night and barfined a very white skinned beauty named Achi. She got a new set of very nice large boobs and we had fun together. Said they were one week new. Best set I ever saw on any ladyboy. Fun washing her all over. Nice dresser in a one-piece pants outfit with no shoulder straps. Same height as me at 5'8". On the small side, but Kamagra helped. Novotel 4 gave me no problemos and just wanted the ID like all hotels. Don't know about three or foursomes so need to ask. Love the soft clean carpeting. Everything is new and bar is super full of bottles. The room I got had 2 beds which was nice because I could put the 2 large bags on top of them and sleep in the other. Ask for Achi if you're ever there. Anybody know whether the long tall black LB is hung, hard, and can cum? She's been around some time. Hate wasting money only to find they're limp and shrunken.

I read in your TR about your interest for swimming pools in hotels. I understand you want to read a lot on this subject.

The standard conditions in Thailand and other Asian countries allow you to invite a guest if you paid for a dual room. It sounds normal to me that they charge an extra for the second guest as long as I don't book a suite for 4 people or more. I heard about a few hotels with discriminatory policies against ladyboys. We should open a black list thread to keep a record of these hotels. I guess they won't change their policies, but at least, we won't book in these ones and will avoid problems later. Maybe, we could try to know whay they they have such policies. Perhaps, they had real problems with ladyboys going to their premises a few years ago (we also know that some ladyboys are not honest, not educated or even sometimes drug addicted and they go out of control).

I usually book hotels around 20 ‚¬/US$ depending on the area/country where I travel. I travel during the low season and am often lucky to get good prices or upgrades of my room.
So far, I have been lucky to find sometimes hotels with ladyboys at the reception at night. Since 2016, I have used a booking website and application. They can't cheat on what rooms look like, but I reckon I needed to build my own experience more particularly with the rooms I book that are fairly small. You're a photographer and you know how they can make a small room look like a large one, but after a few mistakes, I learned to detect too small rooms.

Since this might interest you, I used to go to Unico express in soi 3 Sukhumvit. I found it fairly close to Nana Plaza, but ladyboys prefer to ride back with a tuk tuk or a taxi motorbike. It used to be cheap and the night receptionist used to be a ladyboy till 2015. In 2015, the new owner (a holding company investing in hotels) made transformations and they have a swimming pool. I took the habit to go to another place since then.

Edit : I also understand it sounds revolting that expensive hotels (unaffordable for me) make troubles whereas cheap hotels are very liberal with ladyboys.

Enjoy French elegance at the most historic Bangkok hotel, the Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel, which is just a few minutes to the airport.

Look at the photos of room and swimming pool at Novotel Sukhumvit 4. Medium-sized infinity pool. More chaise lounge chairs were added later. Luxurious rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet for an additional B400. There was a smog alert last December 21-23 when I was there. Couldn't get good photos from the rooftop. Hope this doesn't become a regular thing in the future. Have to bring goggles whenever I ride the mc taxis.

I know rooms and pools are often smaller than the pics but what you cannot see is the run down nature of the room. If I am paying only $20 US in Thailand then I wouldn't have to care because they would be a little run down anyway. I do prefer 4 star and above hotels for a number of reasons, but i'll stay at other ones based on reviews.

The way I now judge pools online is by the number of deck chairs. In your picture there is a good number of deck chairs so I knew it was a good pool.
The pool still looks longer and wider than it actually is. You also have to consider the number of guests and what type they are.
That Anantara seemed to have many families and a few kids in a narrow pool like that, plus there is a hotel tower and a condo tower and this pool is not big considering that.
The best pools i have found in Thailand are in Condos. They Dynasty Grande has one of the better pools in the Nana area.
Terminal 21 hotel has a huge pool but it is also very very expensive.

This Novotel pool looks ok but a little small for laps, but would do in a pinch.
As you can see by the number of deck chairs it is not so long.
They also never show both ends of the pool in the pictures making you think it is longer.

You can see the small pool at the Shama across the street in the one picture.

Novotels are usually quite nice interiors for the price, but it is still only a Novotel. That Marriott in Nana is a true 5 star hotel, and it is never cheap.
I don't think you can get a room at that hotel ever for less than $200. I would like to stay there but it always costs so much, the pool looks pretty big too.

My understanding is the Marriott never takes ID and doesn't care how many guests you bring. However you are fully responsible for all problems and you don't have the hotel checking ID for you. So you need to be careful and have resources if staying at this place. The other hotels take ID to reduce your liability and theirs.
They also have one of the best buffets i have ever tried at the Marriott!

Yes, JW Marriot does NOT request guests ID's so it must mean you can bring in 3 guests if you like. Only hotel that that does that. Did peek at their brunch buffet downstairs. Must starve yourself to eat it all. I think it's a bit over US$50 per person. But what the hell. You'll never see this deal outside of Bangkok. Not even in Waikiki. Once visited the Hilton buffet. Just as good and less than 10 were eating there for lunch. Lots to waste. Thailand is Heaven for tourists. Got everything your heart desires. If you plan to commit suicide, you must go there and do it. If you want to stay JWM then check their website often. Once saw a price around $150/day because of pre-Christmas pricing plus senior discount. But I still like Novotel Sukhumvit 4. Brand new. They require B2000 deposit for the 2 card keys. I just used them up in the restaurant and sign the bills. Used up half of the money.

Those pool pictures are exactly what I saw only a few more chaise lounges. Pool is on the 25th floor. Got a bar. Not much to see from the top. Medium-sized pool for relaxing and floating around. I like to wear 4 pool floaties on my biceps and knees and just float my troubles away thinking of the lovely dates I had for 2 months. Bought them at Mike's Shopping Center but they stopped selling them. U need to order them from Amazon.com.

Loved using Line chat app and it really made a difference this year. Non-stop same question. "What u doing now?" Free video calls but stucky vids. Freezes a lot. Chats can be confusing because locals can't speak or understand English well. Same way for us the other way around. But they understand NOW! Funny I get a few pics/vids of hums they claim is theirs. Not! A lot of Kats like to watch their cell phone Thai porn while getting banged or swallowed. Seems the girlie hormones are seriously damaging their abilities to climax. Hate it when they do this while I'm filming them. Turn off the TV, too. The best part is I can share photos. Can load up to 50 pics and they will get sent rapid fire one after another. Videos are limited to 5 minutes total and take longer to send. Way way better than slow email.

For lots of pattaya hotel reviews go to YouTube.com and search rides4kickz. This guy is very informative and reviews all kinds of hotels and condos for us. He loves motorcycles. Lots of restaurants, too. Unfortunately his girlfriend Vi was just diagnosed with liver cancer. Am impressed with his generosity paying for expensive diagnostics and chemotherapy. Lots of painkillers like morphine and opioids. On good days he takes her evrrywhere to nice and inexpensive restsurants. Really nice guy. See if u can find the video where his condo got flooded and his motorcycle was half submerged. He gets his motorcycles customized a lot and explains some good and bad resukts. Surprised there are excellent motorcycle shops in Thailand for all brands. Honokulu is shit for motorcycle sales. Only 2 stores. Also like Buzzin Pattaya for info what's happening in Pattaya. Have fun reading and watching YouTube.
