Lotusman stayed there recently, it looks plain but adequate.

OK, I have stayed at many of the more expensive and higher end hotels. But this trip was a little different. I wanted to find, and stay at a place that I would feel OK staying at for a week, that cost no more than $40 per night. All three of these hotels have specials at certain times of the year, which can lower the price. In

Boss Suites going for US$26 if you're going in December. Pretty cheap. Just a longer walk down Soi 6 from Nana Plaza. The Nana Hotel which is the closest one across the street from heaven is also cheap but so run down. Really needs to be sold to an investor and rebuilt into 2 hotels. One full of luxury rooms and the other for quickie short time stays.

Interesting that the Chaos Bar is almost right across the street. Are there scooter taxis nearby? Hate walking anywhere on the crooked sidewalks and in this awful humid heat.

As Lotusman wrote, the Thermae Cafe is located in the basement - one of the oldest spots where gg freelancers hang out - also a lot of freelancer lbs work the sidewalk in front of Ruamchit from around midnight onwards. They are not allowed in Thermae Cafe, but hope to catch some of the customers heading there.

Also as mentioned it is close to Check In Bar (just across Sukhumvit Road in Soi 10), not far from Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy (which has 2 lb bars - Cockatoo and Shadow), and Why Not bar on Soi 20 (Sukhumvit).

Try the On 8 Hotel nearby. It's at the corner of soi 8 and Sukhumvit. Pretty new hotel and reasonable at US$50 per night up. Very clean, good friendly staff, escort friendly, and very uncrowded. Lousy small breakfasts so walk over to Monsoon Restaurant. lunch and dinner at this restaurant is excellent and unexpensive, but crowded so eat early. Yes, there's ladyboys late at night outside the Thermae, but they're ugly. Once one of them let me hold her cock to see how big she could get. Then it progressed to a handjob between the planters as pedestrians and rats walked right behind me. She did cum and I gave her B100 for her efforts. Crazy fun.

I don't think On 8 has a pool...and I like a nice swimming pool on a hot day...but you are correct about Monsoon for good food and atmosphere...been there 5-6 times

It's hard to find a nice pool in Nana Sukhumvit area, even Asok.
Dynasty Grande is about as big of a pool as you will find in any 4 star or less hotels, and it isn't very big.
The only other close big pools are in the real 5 star hotels like the Marriott, Sheraton and Center Point Terminal 21, which are pretty much North American prices.
The best pools I have had in Bangkok were at condos around On Nut.

I had one I found great in a cheap hotel €¦ in the area of Suvarnabhumi. We Don't have the same budget policies, but finding an hotel with a swimming pool means paying at least double price.

I don't really swim laps so it doesn't have to be a BIG pool...the ones at Royal Ivory and Lohas Suites tower 1 are fine for me...just a cool place to sit with a Chang and a ladyboy in a tiny bikini...LOL
