  • BEST Restaurants in Pattaya?

I'll be landing in Pattaya and want to spend a little more this time on good to excellent restaurants. What the good places for Thai, Indian, American, Japanese, Chinese, Seafood, Italian, and everything that's delicious? I have only one allergy. Octopus. But can eat raw fish, oysters, etc. I love meat.

Best English Breakfast is Palmers on Soi 13-3.

Oishi Sushi in the Central Festival is just fantastic. I could live there!

Haven House is a great Thai restaurant that used to be on Soi 13 near beach road.
Looks like they may have moved to a new place unfortunately.

I like Marine Seafood just off Walking Street near the Marine hotel.

Pattaya Beer Garden at the entrance to walking street has great food and good views of the bay.

Khao Mon Gai (Chicken and Rice) is on Soi Buakhao and serves only Chicken and rice.
It is super cheap, just over 100 baht a plate and always busy. Ask any Thai they will know where it is.

Sailor Bar on Soi 8 make really excellent food of all kinds they are open 24 hours, also have very cheap beer.

Residence Garden Inn on Second road headed to Jomtien has a great buffet some nights, Friday and Saturday for sure.
If you love meat this buffet is for you. They have all you can eat steaks, filets, pork chops, ribs and seafood it is just incredible and very cheap.
Also they have South East Asia's number one Elvis impersonator performing.
    Don't miss this place!

We are just a short walk from the famous “Walking Street” and close to Pattaya and Jomtien first class restaurants, shopping and entertainment areas.

There is an old thread called Places to eat in Pattaya. Some of these aren't around any more, but a few are. One place I've been to a few times is the Rimpa Lapin Restaurant. It is a bit outside of Pattaya, and is pricey, but definitely worth it. The food is delicious - fusion Thai and French - the view is spectacular - just on a hill overlooking Sattahip beach. If you have a special lady, this is one of the most romantic places to take her for dining, especially as the sun sets. I was there in August and it was just as good as the first time I went 5 years ago.

Do any of the restaurants, either in Pattaya or Bangkok, restrict LB's from entering either alone or accompanied by you? How about the big hotel restaurants? Forgive my ignorance as I don't want to offend if this is a moot point.

Never had a problem - but my companions have always been appropriately dressed. If you try to bring an lb to a 5 star hotel restaurant wearing her usual night time working outfit - there may be an issue.

You haven't been to Thailand? Don't worry about the Yaba and restaurants. Unlike Brazil, most hotels are "Escort Friendly". It's funny to read that thread about hotels that charge extra for a third guest. It is now the best time to visit Thailand when the weather is less wet and cooler. The rice fields are harvested and girls and boys come to Pattaya and Bangkok to drink, party, and have sex with paying horny men from all over the world. It's the best place for party hounds. Try the On8 Hotel on Soi 8 and Sukhumvit. It is only one block from Nana Entertainment Plaza and costs $50 to $60 a night. Cute little boutique hotel but small breakfast included. The Skytrain entrance is right on the front steps, and it's an escalator. You can visit Chatuchak Flea Market and shop and take tons of pictures. Good eats, too, or get a massage. Watch sidewalk entertainers and bargain on everything you see. Buy a hand fan if you get hot or but a ice cold fruit drink from those wheeled stands. In Pattaya, I like the Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8 for $40 to $60 with breakfast. Get breakfast as most restaurants and Central Festival shopping center eating places open at a late 10 AM. Soi 7 and 8 are ground zero for the party life. Full of boys and girls. The other Soi 6 which also has a lot of gg and Ladyboy bars is not right next to Soi 7. You have to get on a Baht bus and ask to be dropped off on Soi 6. There are wall to wall bars for gig's and LB's. The LB's are tall and too intimidating for me. They are too stuck up. If you're bored in the day try walking on the little street next to Soi 6 and see some cuties waving and trying to get you attention. They do look pretty good looking in the sunlight. They want you to come and rent their rooms, but I take them back to my hotel. Safer. Try Google Pattaya Soi 6, Soi 7, and Soi 8. Same with Bhukao Street, Pattaya Beach walk. I think you'll like Pattaya better. Cleaner air, brighter sunlight, and beach atmosphere. I like Thailand. It's the best place for the party life. The most beautiful girl and boys in all of Asia. Better than the USA and Europe. Much friendlier people. Thailand has once again regained its status as number one destination in the world. It's the prices. Everything is so cheap. Bar fines (BF) are now upped to B700 and short time (ST) is a good B1500. Plus drinks let's say you spend at least B3000 just to hit the sack. That's US$88. It's probably costs $300-500 for just a ST from a street hooker in Waikiki. So spend freely. You don't go to Thailand to eat at McDonald's. You save enough to have a blast. Eat at the Best restaurants, date the most beautiful gg, try a gorgeous ladyboy, see the amazing ladyboy shows in Bangkok and Pattaya. Pay more for a girlfriend experience. Might even find a sexy young college age Russian girl walking inside Central Festival. Now I know what make the Beatles shout! Still bored? Negotiate with a motor scooter driver to drive you around Jomtien, the different areas of Pattaya, temples, Sanctuary of Truth, Nong Nooch Gardens with its rodeo of elephants, and ask any of those little kiosks for brochures of Pattaya attractions to see. So remember November to February are the best weather months. I promise you the first time you come you will be hooked. It's like when the Mormon elders set foot and looked down on Salt Lake and said, "This is the Place!". This place is where the most beautiful Labyboys and girls live and play. Get on Expedia.com to buy a plane ticket and go to Agoda.com or any of those hotel reservation websites and check out prices for the time slots you're targeting. The place is full of ATM machines, and I can get up to B30,000 (thirty thousand baths) per withdrawal per day. Even asks you whether you want to withdraw from you checking or savings. If confused go to a bank and ask a cute counter girl to show you what buttons to press. But I still bring several thousand dollars just in case there's another coup and the airports get shut down like when Thaksin Shinawatra was deposed. Have an exit plan to stay in a hotel longer or take a long train ride to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore where you should expect to discover EVERYBODY has the same idea! What a great experience to tell your grandchildren and friends! Be sure to buy a good camera like a Sony RX100 mark 3 with a selfie screen ($800) or a Canon 80D with a 10-18 mm wide angle plus a 18-135 mm lenses. Nobody's gonna believe such a Heaven as Thailand exists unless you have pictures to prove it.

Just discovered a nice British pub restaurant called the Sportsman Bar located halfway up Soi 13 from Beachwalk. Good menu full of good food and had the salmon fillet. Took a long time to cook as they prepare it when you order it. Read the library of daily newspapers twice before they placed the dish in front of my eyes. What a feast to behold. This is not a fish sliced through sideways and fried. It is poached or steamed and comes with steamed potatoes and a warm little pitcher of sauce for the fish. It was so tender and soft it melted in your mouth. One of the best dinners I've had in Pattaya. The owner/manager must be a jolly good Brit with a big strong body. He is always walking around inspecting his creation and has a loud friendly voice made for good conversation. Last Sunday they have buffets with all kinds of delicious meats and soups for B415. Didn't know they serve it only on Sundays so will try it out next time. They will be serving Thanksgiving dinners for B650, and I made a reservation for November 25 on a Thursday. They want me let them know what time I will be coming supposedly because they want to serve me a hot meal like a family friend. This is not like an American restaurant where you get a buffet. Gonna be a good experience as I never found a Thanksgiving dinner I liked in Pattaya. Check it out. I think you'll agree this is a popular place for drinks, conversation, and dang good food.

I would say that if you want to take them somewhere original then try the Thai buffet steamboat place on South Rd, one block beyond Third Rd.

180B per person, plus drinks. Tasty, fun, good value (and also unusual if you come from half-way round the world). The ingredients are all Thai but if anyone doesnt like spicy things then it can be treated rather like a normal BBQ just by not adding the spicy sauces. So pretty suitable for anyone, even those who dont eat meat.

I wasnt aware that Walking Street contained any type of establishment that is worth visiting for any reason, except perhaps to use the toilets in an emergency. Walking Street is hideously overpriced and soooo boring. Cant imagine why anyone goes there.

The first time I visited Thailand we stayed at the Dynasty Hotel just down Soi 13 a bit. We hung out at the Sportsman a lot. They have guinness and other import beers on tap.

Walking street is not what it used to be but there is still a few good places. There isn't too many great restaurants but I do like Marine Seafood and Marine disco.
Also there is a Macdonald's on Walking street now which seemed weird at first but made more sense when I was drunk. For some reason there does not seem to be food vendors allowed on walking street. One of my favourite places on walking street is the Issan Club at the very entrance of the street on the right. The have great Issan shows and really good food too, also good drink specials. Pattaya beer gardens just outside walking street is fantastic to eat at and good views of the bay.
I also enjoy Walking street for the Blues Club and the Hot Tuna bar which are both great places to rock out.

I've never had any problem taking ladyboys anywhere in Pattaya except for some of the discos on Walking street.
Most of the discos on walking street do not allow ladyboys except for Marine Disco, all other discos in town seem ok for ladyboys.

The big hotels don't seem to discriminate but I have always showed up with respectable looking dates.
The Marriotts do not take ID or charge a fee for joiners but they also hold you fully responsible for all problems and damages.
Not sure if other major hotels are like this.

I took Lyla to the Hilton lounge and restaurant for her birthday no problem.

Lyla! Stop going around barefoot. Gives me woody! Got into trouble once because I walked in the water to the edge of the pool to shoot some scenery with my GoPro on a looooong pole. Just pretended I didn't hear them before I finished. Now I'm persona non grata until they forget me next year.
