Have your views on ladyboys changed?

It's now roughly half a year since my first ladyboy encounter.
I must say that my views on them have changed a lot over the last six months.
First, I had not really imagined ever being with one. Shure I've seen my share of shemale porn. Groving up with the internet becoming a part of everyday life, I probably saw some shemale porn before I lost my virginity. But as I was not that into asian chicks, so I didn't really see the attraction in asian lbs.
But then, when I all of the sudden was face to face with one, that certainly changed.  
Had tons of fun and did some things I never really saw coming. It was all good.

Then I start reading here, a lot. It's so freaking boring to be back home! Reading here, it seems like it's gonna be hard core, dealing with the lbs. They're gonna lie and pull every trick up their sleeve to drain you for money, and what not. Seems like you need to grow a thick skin.

But...On my first visit to Thailand this winter, it couldn't be further from the truth, for me that is. All the lbs I met were complete angels.  

I was only in the south of Thailand, so I don't know if it's different (harder mentality on the girls) in bkk or Pattaya. And I can't wait to find out.

So my look on the whole ladyboy thing has changed quite a bit over the last six months. From not really thinking about it, to excited, to a bit more sceptism, to very excited.
How about you guys. At least for the ones who been on the scene a long time. Have you noticed any change in your views along the line? Have you become more cynical?  

Then one last question. If they are sponsored, are they more easy going? Maybe they're not that money craving, since they got a steady income and all?

Interesting post Halla , on that point I'd say the opposite is true , the sponsored ones tend to be the brighter ones with a unique ability to conjure Baht from wallets with a flash of their shark like eyes .

In my experience the laid back , good -hearted fun loving types are less money orientated , but then you got to look a little harder for them

Halla, Here is the sponsored list that you requested. I personally sponsor over 14 LB's now and have taken them off the market. They are all mine now and no one else can touch them. I know they are fauthful because they tell me so in their emails. "I love only you" "I wait you", etc. This is all the proof I need but you seem skeptical so you may need more proof. I'm not sure being sponsored would make them any less 'money hungry'. In fact once they get a taste for the easy baht it's quite likely they will look for more. It's not uncommon for GGs or LBs to have multiple sponsors It's bigger than Utah

I think inevitably one becomes more cynical over time, but I'd rather call that 'experience'.

Are we talking about views on ladyboys or views on hookers? If your view of ladyboys is based on the ones you meet in Nana or Walking Street, then sadly, you have a very stained view of a sliver of the LB population.

I think it is obvious that an in person interaction (with LBs or GGs) is going to give you different impression than what you read on this or any other forum.

The girls that you meet in the LOS and individuals, and we do seem to see a lot of generalizations on the forum.

Also, I think the more interesting "cases" are what get written up for the forum. If I'm writting a trip report I tend to leave out the more average experiences and try to touch on either the very good or the very bad. So for example I'll most likely won't mention a so-so experience, but would likely mention a girl who uninvited goes from BJ to her tounge halfway up my ass (the BJ was invited, however the prostate licking was not). Anyway you get my point.

Being in the lucky position of initially coming to Thailand by default many many moons ago and then discovering the third sex it has not so much changed my views about the LBs's but more importantly changed my view about myself.. for the better...

More experience and time spent with different LB's has shown me that I can and will treat them, ( as I would anyone else,) as i wish to be treated... but keeping an eye out for any negative hidden agenders weather P4P or straight...

I've only met one with a sponsor, but she was also the coolest one I've met. Maybe she was just one of those who are hard to find. But then again, I didn't find her. She found me. So in my mind I'm thinking that if they don't have that big need for money, they're just out looking for some fun. Fun being me

I guess my views are based on both. But I would guess mostly on the ones operating in the p4p game. Most, but not all, I've met on Bangla or Soi Croc, Phuket, or in Orchard Towers, Singapore. I've only met one who would fit a bath vacuum cleaner label. That was a rather short and unpleasant meet.

If the mentalities of the lovelies on Walking Street and Nana will be similar to those on Bangla/Soi Croc I won't complain. Or are they "harder" up there? I did not visit C&D in Phuket though. Maybe they're more "hardcore" than the ones on Soi Croc, I dunno.

You've just named P4P central for Southern Thailand and the city-state of Singapore. If those are where the majority of experiences with ladyboys have come, then you will have a very skewed and limited view.

In my opinion ladyboys are no different than any other group of people. Some good, some bad. Some smart, some amazingly dumb. And the list goes on and on. I don't find my interactions with ladyboys to be too different than with any other group of people except for the fact that I'm somewhat a bit more comfortable with them. The dynamic, even just as friends, between a guy and a girl and a guy and LB is way different to me.

But it's tottaly skewed in the opposite direction than what's usually portraited on this forum. Maybe I've just been lucky? Or maybe they're nicer if you don't cross paths with them in their respective bars, or if they don't have a job in a bar? But then again, it doesn't seem like you think better of freelancers than those working in bars.

So confusing. Haha. Guess I just have to learn by doing
