  • Ladyboys with bloodshot eyes...

Why so many asian ladyboy/femboy have Bloodshot Eyes ?
Is this a result of hormone shots ? or just girls on Yabba working 24/7.
It just seems to me there are so many versus me just waking up from a hard night drinking. (which is 24/7) but you get my point.

Some of them are due to yabba, others are due to lack of sleep (hard to imagine - but possible), many also wear contacts that either make their eyes look bigger or change the eye color and that may cause irritation as well.

So it has nothing to do with hormones ?  I guess that is what I am most courious about. I can figure all the rest out on my own

That's my point. There are a number of obvious reasons why they have Blood shot eyes. If we had to do what many of them have to do on a daily basis we too would be blood shot and that is without the booze.

Bloodshot eyes are not a known side effect of female hormone usage - and besides there are a few hormone free femboys with bloodshot eyes!

It can also be dust which tends to fly about a lot in SE Asia when there's a lack of rain. You'd be surprised how often I have had filipina non lb friends tell me about eye irritation.

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

good point Jake_Sully - also major cities like Bangkok and Manila have a fair amount of pollution in the air as well.

                        Hi Mirimark,

My guess is that most of them are on Viagra/Kamagra when they go out nights so that they can display an instantly hard cock for the punters. As a vaso-dilator it tends to give bloodshot eyes.

This is just my opinion. RxPharm might know more on the matter.

Top 10 Causes of Red Eye
                            Why is your eye red?

                            Updated June 18, 2010

A red eye -- although usually painless -- is not exactly attractive. Red eye occurs when blood vessels near the surface of the eye become enlarged and dilated. If you have red eye, it is important to find out why. Red eyes have several causes. Sometimes the cause of a red eye is of little concern, but it can also be a sign of a medical emergency. It is always best to seek the advice of a medical professional.

                            1. Allergic Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is an inflammation or infection of the clear, protective layer that coats the front part of the eye. Conjunctivitis can be caused by allergies, bacteria, viruses, or toxic substances.

                            2. Uveitis
Uveitis is an inflammation of the eye's uvea. It can cause redness, pain, blurry vision, floaters and light sensitivity. Uveitis should be treated quickly because other complications, such as uveitic glaucoma or retinal and choriodal scarring, may occur if it lingers.

                            3. Dry Eye
Human tears function to lubricate, nourish and protect the surface of the eye. When the tears are not of good quality or quantity, the surface of the eye becomes dry. Chronic dryness causes the surface of the eye to become inflamed and blood vessels to dilate as a result, causing increased redness.

                            4. Blepharitis
Blepharitis is a chronic infection and inflammation of the eyelid and eyelashes. Blepharitis may be caused by poor eyelid hygiene. Other causes include oily eyelid glands, allergic reactions, bacterial infections, or lice on the eyelashes.

                            5. Acute Angle-Closure Glaucoma
Unlike most types of glaucoma, acute angle-closure glaucoma causes several recognizable signs, including painful redness that usually occurs in one eye. Acute angle-closure glaucoma is a serious medical emergency and must be treated immediately.

                            6. Subconjunctival Hemmorage
A subconjunctival hemmorage is caused by a blood vessel that bursts. When broken, these vessels bleed and spread out underneath the conjunctiva, the clear coating on the surface of the eye. It can be caused by hard sneezing, coughing, intense straining, vomiting, trauma, high blood pressure, diabetes and sometimes from certain blood disorder problems.

                            7. Injury
When an eye suffers and injury, the blood vessels enlarge and dilate to bring cells to heal and repair the injury. This will cause redness.

                            8. Corneal Ulcer or Infection
The cornea is the clear, dome-like structure that helps the eye achieve clear vision. The cornea has no blood vessels of its own. When the cornea becomes infected, however, surrounding blood vessels enlarge, bringing immune system cells to help fight the infection. This redness is very easy to see.

                            9. Contact Lens Wear
In some individuals, wearing contact lenses every day (or for extended periods of time) can cause the eyes to appear red. Some people develop contact lens-induced dry eyes, which makes it difficult to wear contact lenses comfortably. In others, merely having a foreign body, such as a contact lens, in the eye causes redness.

                            10. Frequent Use of Eye Drops
Constant use of one of the widely available "get the red out" eye drops can cause dilation of the eyes' blood vessels. After the effect of the eye drop wears off, the blood vessels sometimes dilate larger, causing the eyes to appear even more bloodshot.

                            UNQUOTE

I also assume that more or less living a life in the dark and in artificial lighting environments might affect people with more sensitive eyes. Smoking would also add to that but this doesn't seem such a problem anymore in bars.

And although many tend to sleep a lot, there seems no regular schedule. So long hours of being awake might alternate with intensive sleeping when possible. I recently spoke to an lb at the Family Bar in Soi 7 - she said she works from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. - that's 12 hours on the job unless she gets bf-d.
