The VIP members ratings system...

We've had the slightly controversial members rating system now for a few weeks.

Is it time to dump it or keep it going?

Do we really need this as a bunch of sensible adults on a pay forum?

I voted 'Don't Know!' but I'm veering towards dumping it.

I think I'm gonna be going with "dump it", but somehow I'm not a 100%...  

It can color someone's judgment before they begin to read the post, and each post should be addressed on even ground.  But, it has been kinda interesting to watch...

Maybe replace it with a Rating on the Member's profile ? That way it remains personal and doesn't influence the way people post

I got overall good responses for my trip report. Then someone anonymously gave me one point. Pissed me off.

I believe to keep a forum active and alive every effort should be made to encourage members to post regularly and rating people could discourage some.
