  • 1st trip to Chaing Mai

    Gentlemen
while I have been to Bkk many times, I have yet to venture north to Chaing Mai ... I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with ...

The most obvious first question is: should I go ???
is it unique with respect to landscape, sightseeing, weather,
culture, beautiful women and LB's  etc... - or is it just a miniature Bkk ???

What form of transportation should I use ? - I know flying is the quickest, but I thought it would be more enjoyable to view the countryside by bus or train - any suggestions ??

Hotels - any favorites ????   cost ???  guest friendly ???

    Gogo's and beer bars  ???  -  yes - no - maybe  ???

the LB scene up there - any specific hangouts that I should check out ....  ???

What about specific ladyboys - any special girls up there you care to share info about ....  (I am in love (lust) with "WIN" and I think she is enough reason to make the trip) but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations ....

I think thats about it - thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Oracle

unfortunately, I may be the only guy that replies to this post because I have never gotten any e-mails nor seen any posts about this city from any other members. But i will do my best for you with the very limited knowledge I have of this place.

I went there for 5 days in May while I was visiting the north with my girlfriend. I told her that we would go to her village and meet her family and see her hometown for 5 days, but that I would also have to work in CM for 5 days [she hates it when i work; she knows what i am 'up' to LOL]. Truth be told, i didn't see much of this place; i was sicker than a dog with some fucking intestinal flu and i HAD to get some photo shoots done up there with limited time. We went out a few times to meet girls, but to me the city seemed like a dead zone as far as ladyboy talent; no dedicated go-go bars, no all-ladyboy beer bars; just one cheesy cabaret downtown near the water fountains in the center of the city. we found this place by accident and found Note and Ce and Ae in this place; not a great place but you CAN meet ladyboys there. Win was sent to us by Jannie; she had given me her fone number before we left and I called her and she came over and she looked great; I always take Jannie's model suggestions sight unseen and she has never ever let me down[ think Poom, Praw, Anny, Neay, Benz and about 20 other beauties].

1 night later i dragged my GF to the Simon Cabaret and we struck gold; she translated for me and we met and photographed girls like Dina [unbelievable; one of the best-looking ladyboys I have EVER seen], Ponlien, Yoh and Gau and 4 or 5 others. That place has some GREAT-looking ladyboys but it's hard to meet the girls there; if i didn't have my GF with me I would have been sunk.

In the daytime I was working so I really didn't get to see the city much, but it seemed beautiful; very oriental, and nice fountains and less traffic than BKK; no traffic jams and just a nice over-all place.
Very modern but English is less-spoken here and you may like that or not; it gives you a feeling of really being in Thailand. I ended up in the hospital with an IV drip in my arm for 4 hours to relieve the diarrhea and the dehydration and to get some electrolytes back into my system, and if I didn't have her with me none of the staff would have been able to help me; I don't speak Thai. Luckily I was able to get some shoots done and the sets you see of Dina and Win and all the other girls were done with Jon in a state of disrepair and barely able to drag myself out of bed.

I CAN suggest a room; the Oriental Mae Ping [do a google search; it's also the first link in the June 15 update links page] is a great place and we booked a room on-line for only 31 bucks a night. check out the room in the June 15th updates and that is it. Very nice rooms, large and comfortable, nice pool, 3 restaurants, big lobby and they don't give a shit who you bring to your room. the lobby is so big and so many people stay there that they have no idea who is going where; highly recommended hotel and it's right in the center of the old city.

As I say, read the links page and the run-down that I wrote for the June 15th updates page; I am not as up on this place as i am for Pooket or Pattaya or BKK, but I gave a few tips and some good links there and they may be helpful.

Please, do consider going there despite the lack of information you will get from up here; it's a beautiful city and there are many ladyboys there. even if you can not find any bars, i can give you the fone numbers for Win and Ce and Gau and you will have a ball; one of them can take you around and see the sites, and if there are any LB hangout's in town, they will know. as for how to get there, obviously flying is best; it takes one hour and only costs 130 bucks R/T. there are frequent trains that run there, and you can do a bus as well if you want to see the countryside, but this would take about 10 hours. The train would be quicker but still slow compared to flying.

I am going there myself this fall, without my girl. i have enough contacts there now and i want to see the city on my own and meet some new talent, and see the amazing Dina and Ponlien and their friends from the Simon again.

Would I recommend this place? definately, without a doubt.

well, not to sound like a salesman here because you seem to already like the site, but if you want to stay with this site do NOT pay the 19 bucks a month. I know it hurts to pay 99 up front but you get this site for 12 months, which is about 8 dollars per month rather than 19. no other site offers as much as we do for so little, believe me.

and please take the best advice I could ever offer you that we have talked about these last 2 or 3 weeks; get broadband! that goes for everyone out there, including YOU, Mister Blue Ballz!......if you have the chance, get the broadband or DSL; your experience on this site and the internet as a whole will be 100 times better, believe me, and it's really not that much more than dial-up.

2 pieces of advice; get cable hook-up and go to Chiang Mai; if you are dissapointed with either i will give you my address and you can come and beat me up, promise

thanks for the nice words, Oracle......let me know who you want to meet in CM and we will set that up.

        regards Jon

Enjoy your trip to Chaing Mai, Oracle. To me the Chaing Mai LB's and GG's for that matter are the most beautiful of the Thai's. Just look at the fine examples we have on this site!

I would love to go there but due to the very short periods I am in LOS it is unlikely I will get there in the short term.

          Very jealous Thaipan!

Do go to Chiang Mai ! It is so beatiful and not a mini Bangkok.
Make sure that you go on outings: Chiang Rai, Golden Triangle,
Burma and a small trip to Laos within reach and do not miss the wonderful Wat Doi Suthep (temple)just outside C.M.

You can get a cheap air ticket, but you can also go on the train (travel 2nd class), takes some hours, but very interesting.

Hotels: Stay away from the Empress and stick to the Mae Ping or Porn Ping.

LBs no problem: Look for them in the small open bars and in the streets, especially around the night market.
Loi Kroh and Ratchadamoen (?) and the surrounding streets have lots, some waiting by their bikes to take you.

            Good luck !

Do you mean that the LB's bend you over their bikes and take you?
