A friend of mine wrote this to me almost immediately after touchdown in his home country after a nice long holiday over here...

I get a few of these each week (as I'm sure so does JaiDee!)

So, fellas... what do you advise this poor 'LOS blues' sufferer?

Book another ticket as soon as he can. Even if it is 6 months out. It's something to look forward to.

I had to laugh when I read a post that some German guy wrote saying that his German Heath Care Program pays for his trips to LOS because he suffers from depression.

Why can't we get heath care like this?

I always have the next two or three trips booked

Many UK B/Cab Drivers seem to work 3 months driving around and then 1 month Holiday in LOS and so on and so on.

I know guys who have sold there house and moved on with the cash. The trouble is that one day the cash may evaporate or whatever and so you always need a plan B.

Actually my plan is to eventually sell my Company and start another one in Hong Kong or Thailand......completely different to what im involved with now.. just to keep busy and maybe learn something else other than playing around with Ladyboys.

The angle  to making a very good living is to find out what the Europeans want thats made in Thailand and ship it over. Thats what i do in Hong Kong now. When im on Holiday here im always thinking business!!!. sad but true.........but as they say ...no Money, no Honey....

My blues caughtup with me to much, I am selling as we speak, the house on the market,i am comming over full time, i want to have a place in bkk and one in either phuket or pattaya and get me self a boat for fishing and beer drinking, i am not really geared out there for working hard so i will have to crusie on the funds but hell if i spead it in 10 years i couldnt of had a better 10 years, i am sure i will find something to do if i need money. Life really is a short space of time and before you know it it could be over, i have seen good friends die at young ages and considering i am 31 i am very happy to be here, Here in uk things are a little tedias for me, i am single seem to live to work instead of work to live so i think i really have made the right descion, hell if i dont like it i can always return home! I am hopeing there are going to be a few chaps up for a little socialising every nown and again!
            Take care all

               it works for me.
I had my next trip booked within a few weeks of returning home and I'm already thinking ahead to the trip after that in April/May.

I got back to UK two weeks ago, after two days i went and changed my next flight back to Los,i was supposed to be in UK for 7 weeks,i just could not cope with the thought of being that long away from Los.
I have booked 4 flights for the next year and i will never be away from Los for more than two weeks again.
I have a calender at work and home,i mark off the quarter, third, half, two thirds, three quarter points,it gives me great pleasure to cross off days and reach these targets.
I felt so down this time that i even counted the breakfast cereal bars, and it worked out i have exactly the right amount if i eat two a day untill i return to Los,,i have thought about eating some in the evening, hoping it would speed the time for my return to Los,,,how bloody sad is that?
I know exactly how many days, hours, minutes untill i return,i also know how many working days, how many times i have to go do a weekly food shop, how many times i will have to fill up with petrol, the list is endless,my life is related to my return to Los.
My only thoughts are returning to Los,and thats why its so good to keep some sort of contact going, like reading the posts on forums, and making the odd phone call to friends,it does relieve some of the frustration.
I am such a miserable bastard when i am back in UK,people simply do not undrstand the LOS Blues

Phantom, I think you really should think of living in LOS for at least a year.

I understand the feelings that each and every one of you has, I have been through it many times myself. I used to get the LOS blues very badly but now it doesn't affect me as much, I have a good life in the states and people who love and care for me unlike in Thailand so spending time here is not so bad; the weather is also fantastic between June and November. Ladyboys.....sure, I miss sex with them but it's not the be-all, end-all that it used to be.

Proof? I have 2 weeks off in september and can go anywhere I want to go on the company dime; I COULD go to Thailand, but I AM going to Europe.

                      Bearing out the blues you'll need;

                      a) Vodka

                      b) AsianTS.com

                      c) Camcorder recording of your last thai holiday

                      d) Chatting to ladyboys on Yahoo

Before you know it you'll be back in the Land of Smiles !
