man....you guys are all thinking, 'wasn't it just 2 weeks ago that this guy was saying he was HAPPY to be away from the city'? true, all true, and yes, sometimes that place can drive me crazy, as any transplanted bangkok person from the west will tell you! [stogie.....snick.....agreed?] the posts i made earlier this month still stand; sometimes the greedy ladyboys, the bastard coppers, the insane rules and laws, the constant hassles, the traffic, the new closing times, the sinking value of the buck, etc, etc...etc, can all get me down and make me want to leave. but despite all the tough talk, it's still a great place and probably the place i will always call my '2nd home'. with that said, i will always leave myself the option to travel in SE Asia as much as possible and get the hell outta there at times just to preserve my sanity!
in southern Philippines right now......nice place, very cheap, lots of ladyboys, decent beaches, and salma and her friends are all cool and treating me very well. But i miss 'home' and look forward to being back and eating some street stall food, swimming in my pool, chatting with my friends, and going out with Snick to Cascades and causing trouble. then i will want to leave again.
