Planning to visit Chiang Mai

Am trying to plan a trip to Chiang Mai May-June or October this year. First visit. I read the LB action is near Tha Phae Bridge, Night Market, or something. Where is the center of the LB and LB bar action? Got suggestion what bars to check out? I would like to stay at a decent hotel for US50.00 up that is clean, swimming pool, excellent breakfast, good dining, and escorts allowed. Suggestions for a nice clean hotel close to the action with medium and upper medium price ranges? What and where are good restaurants, shopping, night time strolls? Best LB shows? Please help. Plan to be there 2 weeks then 6 weeks in Pattaya Beach. Got mozzies, Dengue, Zika, or Malaria? What are the good sightseeing attractions? I love to take pictures. Thanx.

I have only been to Chiang Mai once and it was in 2010. The hotels there super cheap and I booked a regular room at the Holiday Inn for 800 baht. I got a great upgrade because i was a Platinum member too. The buffet breakfast at this hotel was among the best I have seen. Here is a link to my review:

I brought my own ladyboy so I didn't really get a gauge on where many ladyboys hang out. Although there was some working on the streets near the night bazaar.
There is also was a ladyboy show at the night bazaar too but never went, not sure if it is still there. There seems to be changing Cabarets all the time in Chiang Mai.
I don't think there is much for actual dedicated ladyboy bars but not sure these days.

The food in Chiang Mai is some of the best I have ever had in Thailand and a little different than other parts of the country. We went to a restaurant called "The Good View" twice because it was so good. The waitresses here were also very hot and the place seemed very popular.
We ordered tons of food but the local Thai sausage platter was amazing and the stuffed pineapple wasn't bad.
I definitely recommend this place to eat.

For tourist attractions and things to photograph there is tons of stuff around. One day we went on the animal tour which took us on an elephant safari, Buffalo cart, monkey show, tiger farm and snake show. These can all be easily lined up through a local driver, although the elephant and tiger shows are getting a bad rap these days. There is a few more mosquitos around the area than I have seen in other parts of the country but only saw a couple on the elephant safari. Some guy on that safari yelled at me calling me a "Sugar Daddy".

The next day we took a minibus up to the top of the National Park Mountain nearby. There is some beautiful temples up there and waterfalls everywhere. Lots of great photo ops.

Good question, i think even 5 of us will not be able to finish this much. Anyway the babe besides the waterful, i could eat up all of them.

We managed to eat it all, the chicken wings and fries we didn't order but it showed up anyway. (and we ate it)
Ladyboys are notorious for their appetites and can almost always eat more than myself, no matter their size.
Anyways this goes to show you just how good the food is there, I cannot say enough about the food.

I have been considering going back to Chiang Mai for a mountain bike tour. They have a lot of nice trips through the mountains there on bike.
Plus if you go there in winter it is quite mild. Long biking tours in other parts of Thailand did not seem like fun because of the heat and humidity.
The thought of nice riding through the northern jungles is appealing. I would have to go single for a trip like this, then I could check out more of the nightlife. It did not seem like there was a big nightlife scene there compared to other cities. Everything was very quiet by midnight.
