Honolulu just had a huge outbreak of Hepaitis from scallops served in Genki Sushi. Came frozen from the Philippines. I have stopped eating raw oysters years ago. Still eat raw sashimi caught in the nearby oceans sold in reputable stores. Local authorities r very strict about this. Dont know about Thai seafood monitorings. If your seafood seems a bit raw after cooking or tastes funny, be suspicious. Already got sick from boiled shrimp cocktail served in Pig and Whistle. They r kosher. But suspect the shrimp might have been spoiled. As a doctor I like to keep every one informed about possible dangers to your health and welfare in Thailand. Did u all get your Hepatits shots? MMA shots? Flu, tetanus, polio, shingles? Gardasil has just been approved for us older guys. Not just 4 kids any more. "Nobody told me" is not good excuse. I already brought my own antibiotics, Vicodin, flu medicines, etc. Pharmacies here r pretty good. Can get Ampiliin without a doctor's prescription. Even Prednisolone anti-inflammatoies. Right across the street. Always carry Tums with me just in case. If I read something I think you all should be aware of I will LYK. Stay safe and return safe.
