He was the creator of ER, and is mostly famous as the author of Jurassic Park.

Good author and a trained physician!Some of his lesser known work is very good!

A very good non fiction book he wrote years back called 5 patients was an interesting look into the american health care system!

Strangely enough  the Jurassic Park scenario is no longer Science fiction as the science is moving at a geometric rate as regarding DNA reverse engineering from Bird genomes , filling in the gaps from ancient DNA and cloning.

It seems that there is a race now to develop a Mammoth. Within 10 years this will be a certainty IMO.
