With all due respect to your comment about the incompetence of the American army, I must take exception. We were not allowed to step foot in pakistan and so our hands were tied. If we were allowed, this would have been history 10 years ago.

We have no idea what the events that occurred that led to this latest event and what they did was only being directed from above. And those who did it are precision specialists.

I am troubled at times at how much of our tax dollars go to help people in another nation who we will never see those we help but on the other side of the coin, I don't give it a second thought because that is who we are. We are a giving nation and sometimes that doesnt matter. We are American and unless you are an American you may not understand our resolve.
Do we get it right every time? Maybe not, but take away our presence and assistance around the world and perhaps things may be different.

Tourot, I hope you are not trying to defend the indefensible and saying Bin Laden shouldn't have been killed. While there is no doubt the USA hasn't always done things right, the other superpowers, Russia and China are not lilly white either.

As for Al Qaida, do you forget the broadcasts of the beheadings they did of captured hostages? Not exactly the people you would like living next door! There is no reasoning with radical Islamists - have you ever tried? It's worse then trying to reason with a fundamentalist Christian.

I for one am relieved that Osama Bin Laden is not walking around making more plans to kill people.  I can understand why they published his photo, as Al Qaida could have always claimed that he was still alive, with his successors continuing the operations.

It struck home a little last week after the bombing of the cafe in Marrakesh, i was drinking coffee in that cafe last november!

I don't always agree with US foreign policy, but the fucker had it coming! You have to remember that extremist groups don't have a set of rules or the Geneva convention so to speak, so prehaps the west will have to play the game of no rules, that i think, would only be the only possible solution to this neverending problem. The spooks of all countrys have always played to there own set of rules, but at present the glare of the media is to strong,with all eyes on the capture of extremist. An eye for an eye maybe?

I don't think so, I have been watching all day,  and that's the only supposed picture I've seen of his death, it is posted on a ladyboy forum at that, and he's upset over the posting, and equating it with hanging and burning  the bodies of dead US Soldiers from bridges, or dragging their bodies through the streets.

 If they were showing pictures of US Soldiers pissing on the dead body of his dead hero i could understand him being upset,  somebody post a news photo of the supposed dead body of his hero, he calls death porn  and he is in here ranting against  Americans, and using the term You Western guys. Sounds kind of like he's one of them too me.
