  • Singha at Old Trafford

Guess me mate BlueBallz will switch to Beer Chang.

27/08/2010 14:54Reds sign Singha dealSingha beer has become the Official Beer Partner of Manchester United after signing a three-year deal with the club.

The partnership will see Singha beer sold at Old Trafford during matches, as well as giving the Thai brewer advertising opportunities in the stadium and in the club€™s media outlets.

Reds chief executive David Gill said: "It€™s very important to us to engage with our fans around the world and we believe that working with Singha will be another important way of achieving this. We are looking forward to developing the relationship."

At a press conference to announce the deal, United€™s commercial director Richard Arnold added: "We're delighted to be introducing Singha to the family of Manchester United sponsors. The brand's premium positioning within both its home market and international territories makes it a perfect partner for us.

"The club constantly seeks to engage with our fans outside of the UK and teaming up with an established global brand of this calibre enables us to do just that. I'm incredibly excited about the prospects that this partnership will bring to the club."

Soravij Bhirombhakdi, deputy managing director of Singha's parent company Boon Rawd Trading International, welcomed the deal, saying: "Matching the Thai brand with a football club that has a worldwide following will broaden our consumer base.

"We are confident that this alliance will write a new chapter in the Singha story for the whole world to read, turning a local brand into the global brand."

There doing Singha now at Stanford Bridge too. Not sure how many other football grounds they are at but it's always good to be reminded of Thailand.

What does sponsor have to do with favorite teams?

I fail to see any relation since quite a few times I've traveled to another town on business and the official sponsor of my team was the official sponsor of another team too.. its all about advertising. They're not really loyal to any 1 team, just about money to them.

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

I'd clean the bogs if I got to see the game for nowt-(not all the bogs obviously ,just the executive boxes coz their shit doesn't smell does it!)

seriously tho-I knew a City fan who changed his mobile fone provider when Vodafone started sponsoring United.

Comfortable win for the reds today...The Hammers look destined for relegation,I know there are a few BM's who support them.......what say you Seamus and Slimjim?

How nice of Singha Beer to have 6 Thai girls from Bangkok flown over and be present at Old Trafford today to help launch the Partnership

They were fit as hell to boot in their short Singha dresses

One girl was slighty tall so I couldnt help teasing my fellow Stretcher members that she could be concealing a secret "weapon" somewhere
