What is the legal age to be with a ladyboy

sorry I know it must be somewhere but I couldnot find it. you pros always say look at id cards of the girls and make sure they are over a certain age. what is that age? what is legal age? 18 or 21? I try to be very careful of that. thanks

The age of consent in Thailand for both males and females is 15.
Though as I've commented before they don't seem to know that in Issan!      
But! as a falang don't even think  about trying to pick up a 15 year old ladyboy or girl.

All prostitution is illegal but the penalties for being caught with someone under 18 having sex 'for renumeration' are especially severe.

The law about prositution is very poorly written so what is defined as 'renumeration' (payment) covers practically everything.
As I read it you could be prosecuted for having sex with your own wife in a legal marriage!
As a falang you make a very tempting target for the police  -  you must be rich so they can get a big fat bribe out of you.

Edit; Also some countries like the US have decided that some of their laws extend to their citizens behaviour in other countries.
So as the federal age of consent is 16 in the US - I believe it will be applied if you are caught in Thailand.

There is also a law that states that to work in a bar people must be more than 20.
The penalties are directed against the bar owners not the employees/customers.
I've yet to see any attempt to enforce this but I guess the police just ask for a bigger kick-back from the bar owners every now and again.

Sex toys are not allowed to be sold but as yet I have not been able to find any law about this.
The only reference I could find was about an edict from one of the previous chief priests  -  this could have legal status though.
In the past in the UK church edicts  -  issued by the Arch-Bishop of Canterbury  -  carried legal weight so it's possibly the same in Thailand.

Finally ALL pornography is illegal in Thailand.  This includes taking 'naughty' pictures in your hotel room for your own private use.
I would not worry too much about this as unless you're identified as being a major player in the porn industry I doubt the police will bother.

So in short you can get away with most things as long as your squeeze is over 18.

Keep in mind that the custom in Thailand is to round up your age. So if someone tells you they are 18 it likely means that on their next birthday they will have been alive 18 years.

Or they might use the Chinese system which is that you are One year old on the day you are born,
always check ID.

New ID cards have the birthdate in English, old cards do not BUT they have the birth year in Buddhist form (+543 years to CE, i.e 2551=2008 )
so anyone born in 2532 is 18 or 19.

ps. Its also easy for LB to use someone else's ID card. Since LB's rarely look like the picture on their card.

This is probably one of the most important things to know... i think OZ has the same principle as well...

And you must be careful, i had a 16 yr old throw herself at me, and even after i told her my age she was still keen to see me.

In OZ if a girl is under 18, the age difference must be 2 years or less and of course the min. 16 yrs applies also.

So im not sure what part applies when in LOS, but i sure dont wanna test my luck.

Gulp, Can you imagine having this conversation with a female receptionist in any hotel in London or New York or Sydney or Hong Kong or anywhere?

€œThis year is 2551€, she continues. €œSo during the year 2533 a person becomes 18. But now is your month of March, so you could only go with a person who was 18 in 2533 before yesterday €“ and you cannot read our months.
I suggest if this is what you want, you do not bring anyone here who was born after 2532, which will mean they will be, safely, 19€.

Best rule of thumb is if she looks to young she probably is, so best move on to the next one. And don't think becasue she's at a bar she's legal. Nana bars have been known to have girls as young as 15. Plus I wouldn't even want to think of the world of hurt you'd get in to if you got caught.

In the UK the age of consent was finally standardised in 1999 and is 16 for male or female sex  -  except in Northern Ireland where it's 17!    

Before we had a truely hotch-potch arrangement under which there was technically no age of consent for lesbian sex and homosexual sex was illegal.    

Today if two minors (under the age of 16) have consensual sex together then no prosecution will take place.
If one is less than 16 and the other is more than 16 but less than 18 then usually the older party will be given a police caution.
This means they have to be on good behaviour but will not be prosecuted unless they repeat the offence.

The UK may prosecute anyone arrested of an offence involving minors abroad  -  even if the country they were arrested in decided to release them without charge.

I'm wondering at the moment if a certain Paul Francis Gadd (Gary Glitter) has discovered that the UK authorities 'have further evidence that they wish to question him on'.

Hi Azza I hear you. I am 47 (been on the scene in the Kingdom since 1998) and the past few years I have beengoing the girls seem younger and younger (I know I am getting older and older but still).
