unable to view pics

Hi

I am unable to view pics, smileys emoticons and avatars. i an viewing on Firefox 4.01. But cant view either on IE8 or Google chrome. I looked in the control panel to check settings and they seem to be OK. Anyone have any hints?

Are you sure your account options are set as per below? Also try clearing your browser cache (but not the cookies) to remove your temporary internet files.

Thanks RX. As i said i cant view the images. But if you are asking are the boxes ticked YES, then yes they are. And I have cleared the cache.

I'm using the same version of FF (4.0.1) as you and I am seeing everything I should.

Test the site in IE to see if you are having the same problem and report back...

Hi. yep tried all that. Even google chrome. Will have to do some research.

If it doesn't work in ANY browser then it's your forum settings.

Try registering another forum username and see if the same thing happens when you log on with the new ID...

Thanks. I will try later. However, I went to my old desktop comp and I can view with no problems. I even changed my avatar to what it should have been.

The thing is i could view all the pics on TLF on the laptop and i am sure i could the same when LBQ came online. So it must be something I did on my laptop. I can view pics in other fora.

Cut and paste the exact URL you are using to access the site...

One of the mods may have an idea what the problem is.

If I log into the forum using http://67.213.83.169/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi  I don't see any images.

   By that I mean I don't see any Avatar pictures, smilies/emoticons or animations or any picture attachments in ANY thread.   That's actually quite useful if I want to look at the site with others around me.   although the Section pictures show, for e.g in Technical Section, the Crescent wrench picture shows,.

   
   If I logon using
   http://www.theladyboyforums.com/cgi-.../ikonboard.cgi

   All images Avatars etc. are visible.

   So perhaps that is the posters problem.

Ahh, you were using an anonymous VPN - that was filtering out the emoticons and photos, good to hear you're sorted out!
