Sorry to hear about the fish TMac! Damn I would love to live in Los, but that thing called self-support is so important. Many know that I have been questioning a move and how for sometime now. I have been taking thai classes and IT classes on the side to help if I ever did make that move. So much to think about, and with aging parents myself, so hard.

      Neo, what are your circumstances?

Here's mine: I'm 48 (49 on 2nd day of next trip - Jan 30). I have no debt. I own my home (2 bedroom condo) free and clear. Have significant 401k savings, enough to live comfortably in LOS until my 90's but not enough to live comfortably in USA yet. No married. Only encumbrances are 2 cats and my aging parents and one sister and nieces/nephews. Great job that I don't want to walk away from until I'm really ready to be done working.

I could make the move today and survive financially, but I'd be fcucked if I decided living in LOS didn't suit me and I needed/wanted to return home.

      That's my situation.
