  • dentists in Thailand

Now I read the brilliant thread regarding medical treatment in thailand. What I would like to know iss, does anyone of any good dentists in bangkok. the reason i ask is that hopefully i will be living in bangkok before too long and thiss is a big concern of mine. I just had a bout with the dentist today here at 'home" in farangland and it really made me think.

I ahve been seeing this dentist here for about 20 years and have had quite a bit of work done and I trust thiss guy a great deal. I have heard that hospitals have dental sections? is that true?

thanks for any info you lot can offer!!

    BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

I have used one in Suk soi 7 a couple of years ago, and the service was good and cheap.

A couple of threads on this already:

Dr Smiley, Silom rd, opp Calif Fitness is my Dentist.
great service. The injection is optional and most Thais dont have it so make sure you ask or you better have something to grip onto. Its not that bad really and i dont bother with any injections now for fillings....but it can get a bit edgy if a nerve is found by the drill .

They dont like giving injections if your on certain medication , which i was/am. Also Thais dont like to pay the extra.( thats what they told me)

I use Dr Utumporn at the Ladphrao Dental Centre, Changwatthana branch. 025730022. She is careful, attractive and speaks good english....the actual surgary seems much cleaner and more pleasant than most that I have visited in the UK...the cost of a checkup and clean is about 800 baht and last time I had 2 fillings which cost about 900 baht.

even though I have moved back to the UK now, I am not prepared to pay London prices, so I visit her for a check up, clean and anything else I need when I visit Thailand.
