I'm sure some of you like to split your time in Thailand between a number of locations, and may need to book some internal flights to get around.
Whilst I usually make use of Thai Airways, there are a number of cheaper alternatives which could save you literally 1000's of Baht in fares.

Just tried to book a fare from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (return) for October 06 and this is what I came up with via the various operators;
Thai Airways = 5520 Baht return
Nokair = 3750 Baht return
One Two Go = 3400 Baht return
Air Asia = 2566 Baht return
All prices quoted include the applicable taxes, although the conditions are generally more stringent on the cheaper fares with regard to alterations, etc.
Still amazing the difference is pricing offered !

Agreed! Although last time I took Air Asia up-country the taxes and fuel surcharges ended up being more than the actual fare!!! However, it was on time...for once. I've noticed Thai Airways is always going to be your most expensive option, as it is a full-fledged airline, but I guess the plus is that it is a member of Star Alliance.
