  • Ladyboy friendly hotels Bangkok Riverside

Hey all, long time lurker here, finally getting round to visiting the LOS early 2025, woop, woop!
Will be staying in Bangkok the first few nights upon my arrival, I have already booked a hotel for this period, I shall be staying at the Royal Ivory, which I've been informed is Ladyboy guest friendly.
I'll then be heading down to Koh Chang for a week or so, hopefully I'll find some sexy Ladyboys to play with whilst I'm there, fingers crossed.
I then have another couple of nights in Bangkok, but I'd like a change of scene, I'm considering staying Riverside. However, I'm struggling to find details on any Ladyboy guest friendly hotels here.
Does anybody here have any recommendations please?
    Thanks in advance
    Dave

Congrats on making it to LOS!
I would say most hotels in Bangkok are ladyboy friendly to an extent. However there is a difference between checking into a hotel with a ladyboy as a couple or just bringing random ladyboys back to your room. Royal Ivory being in Nana area is fully ladyboy friendly as you can bring them in and out at your discretion. You still have to register them with the desk & possibly pay a guest fee.

I've stayed at many hotels all over Bangkok and never had a problem checking in with my ladyboy girlfriend. Most of the hotels outside of Nana and other red light areas don't have a guest fee but you may have to register them at the desk. Generally if you are quiet and polite you shouldn't have much issue.
The only riverside hotel I have stayed at is the Chatrium Riverside. My review is below. I checked in there with my ladyboy for about a week once with no issue.

Situated on the shores of the Chao Phraya River, this idyllic property is home to a host of amazing suites & dining hotspots in Bangkok. Book your room today.

Koh Chang is a fantastic beach location. There is a very limited supply of ladyboys there & quality is not the best. So you may want to consider taking a ladyboy with you there. I took a ladyboy twice and went once alone. The time I went alone I ended up staying with a lady. There is lots of good information in my threads and also a number of hotel reviews from Koh Chang in the hotel section here.

So shortly after the volleyball in Pattaya this November I took my girlfriend Layla for a trip to the island of Koh Chang. I had been to Koh Chang 2 times

I have been to Koh Chang Twice and it is a good change of pace from the busy pace elsewhere in Thailand. I had provided some information on one of my trip reports but thought it would be good to have a dedicated thread. Koh Chang is a Thai National Park and is also the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand. However it is on

Thanks for your advice rockheart, much appreciated, I'm afraid my budget is slightly lower than yours I'm afraid, looks a very nice place and great location too.
I recently read your post on Cho Chang too, very interesting. I'd love to find a gf to take along with me, probably unlikely though in reality

Why do you say it's unlikely? There are always plenty of ladyboys looking for a relationship. Even some like my longtime girlfriend who wasn't looking for a relationship!

I'll only be in Bangkok for 2 days prior to leaving, I've assumed that those wanting relationships would be put off by me only being Thailand for 2 weeks.
Are there many who are just looking to enjoy a short fling?

I am sure there are. My girlfriend was a specialist in short flings until she met me.

You probably won’t find many cheap hotels near the river. There will be cheaper places in the Khao San Road area which is closer to the river.
Lots of ladyboys will go with on a short trip.

The Ibis Riverside look reasonably priced, if a bit underwhelming, room wise that is

When I look on Agoda I see a number of reasonably price hotels near riverside. The prices tend to get cheaper the further away from the river that you get. There is cheaper hotels near the river, it just depend what area of Bangkok you want to be near. Areas near the river can vary greatly from luxury to squalor. You will see an abandoned luxury highrise hotel right near existing luxury hotels. There can be hotels not near much and others in vibrant neighbourhoods with restaurants & attractions.
Asiatique is an attraction something like a carnival on the riverside and even has a ladyboy show there. That tends to be near more high end in that particular area.

I suggested staying around Khaosan Road as that is a big party area of Bangkok and most of the hotels there are geared more towards people bringing guests home. Khaosan Road is near the river and the Grand Temple. Many ladyboys hang out and party on Khaosan road nightly. There is no ladyboy bars there but many ladyboys on the street and in many of the bars. Hotels of every price are in that area.

I decided to stay in Sukhumvit again, Soi 13I believe? At the CitiChic, I wanted to be near the golden triangle again lol. I've also heard a rumour that a fair number of ladyboys reside in a block near here? I can always cancel and book elsewhere if I feel like it anyway.
Cheers again for the input, much appreciated
