..customs at SFO has never checked me inbound coming from BKK or MNL, but they did segregate me & went through all my stuff after i bought a 1-way ticket from SFO to PDX?! Must of thought I was in the Phil for some terrorist training & on my way back to blow up something; found out from United buying a 1-way ticket after landing from overseas gets you red flagged there..
