That comment has little to nothing to do with the industry in Thailand - at least when it concerns the farang segment of that industry (which is a minute percentage of it.)

Girls are not forced to go with farangs and they are not forced to climb into a taxi to go to work.

In my very humble opinion this is an absolute truism that many people cannot take on board.

Lets face it the real world is not a kind place and never will be.
Most species survive by feeding on others. How many humans have been killed in Wars in the last 100 years alone.

There are around 6 Billion people on the planet and lets face it for about two thirds of them  life is shitty. I dont blame anybody its just the way it is. Prostituton is just another job and the level of danger is relative to other jobs.

Why would you compare the opportunities of a ladyboy and someone living in the west with a highly paid job? They are not even close to being apples and oranges.

In fact Ladyboys do have a choice.  The first choice they make is becoming one of their own free will. The second choice when it comes to a job may be more limited but not certainly not to just selling the body.

One also has to remember that LOS, Cambodia , Burma, Laos and so on are third world countries by definition and so the lifestyle conditions here are to be expected to be below the US.

part of the problem is once they start hooking it is very hard for them to go back to a real job and give up the big cash. I mentioned Chompoo in an earlier post in this thread; she left her shoe-selling job to hook in Obsessions and now makes between 50-60,000 baht per month, as much as some lawyers and doctors in her country. It would be hard for her, or any girl for that matter, to go back to making 5000 a month selling shoes once they become accustomed to the new lifestyle they are in.

My guess is that TGirls encounter more job discrimination than any other minority group.  

For example, having viewed her video, I believe Trisha would make an excellent flight attendent.
