      Wow that's only $1200 usd!

The Australian stripper told me what would have cost $5000 cost her half that in Thailand... so I guess it cost her $2500 Au$
Based on a recent article in the Bangkok Post (on cosmetic surgery), the price range for breast augmentation us 45,000 - 65,000. Yanhee and Bumrungrad seem to be the most expensive, the former for wealthy Thais and showbiz types, the latter for foreigners. In general foreigners pay a bit more, but they also get additional pre- and post-operative services that a Thai prostitute might not require. AFAIK unlike motorbikes, there is no premium for larger displacements, so 350 cc's cost the same as 250 cc's. (A girl at Obsessions recently upgraded, from 350's to 500's!) The Thai prostitutes always go overboard because they know foreigners, and Thai men, both like giant hOOters. Of course this makes them stick out among the general Thai female population so everyone knows she's still a whore from Issan. One upside, they don't have to worry about drowning anymore, "...in the case of an emergency your bOObs become flotation devices."

Trocadero clearly has a problem with prostitutes!

There is a lot of crap er, I mean unhelpful stuff in your post but what is really sad is your ignorant assumption that all Thais who have cosmetic surgery are whores. This is not the case.

Based on a recent article in the Bangkok Post (on cosmetic surgery),
I found the article from the Bangkok Post (BTW I did not mean to post disinformaton, nor imply that only prostitutes have cosmetic surgery. Clearly prostitutes make up a tiny fraction of the overall procedures; foreigners, and Thais not engaged in the sex industry, are the primary market.)

          SRIWIPA SIRIPUNYAWIT

Do you want gorgeous Bette Davis eyes? Full lips that would shame Angelina Jolie? Firm breasts that would be the envy of Pamela Anderson? Cosmetic surgery has come a long way since the Egyptians' first nose jobs thousands of years ago. Today, it has become increasingly common among women _ and a few men _ in Thailand.

There are women who are willing to go under the surgeon's scalpel, submit themselves to an extraordinary amount of pain, and pay an exorbitant sum of money to look better and gain confidence.

Plastic surgery encompasses both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic surgery reshapes the body's normal structure to improve the patient's appearance and self-esteem, but it is not usually covered by health insurance because it is elective.

According to Dr Karoon Mekanontchai, medical director of Bumrungrad Hospital, cosmetic surgery has become increasingly popular. Of his total number of clients, 80% are female. Seventy percent of the total are foreigners, with as many as 60% of those Australian.

The large number of foreigners going under the knife is due to low costs in Thailand compared with those overseas, the doctor said.

``Our expenses are about one-fifth of what is being charged in the US,'' Dr Karoon noted.

The top five cosmetic operations are liposuction, facelifts, nose surgery, breast enlargements and eyelid surgery.

Dr Supot Sumritvanitcha, the director of Yanhee International Hospital, has also noticed a surge in number of cosmetic surgery cases, which he attributes to more sophisticated facilities that ensure safety.

``Besides, patients have better access to information such as medical magazines or hospital websites. So they can easily research which hospitals or surgeons specialise in which areas and how much the expense is,'' Dr Supot explained.

The most popular procedures at Yanhee Hospital are for the nose and eyelids followed by breast enlargement and sex change, or gender reassignment as the profession likes to call it.

It may be cosmetic, but it's still surgery and making the initial choice is a big step. Even then, the patient needs to put many considerations ahead of price.

The doctors suggest clients spend time determining what they really want and expect. Is this really what you want your new nose to look like? Will you really be happier if your eyes get bigger? Remember, the operation is final and your appearance will change forever.

Once patients are certain, the next step is to find out what facilities the specialists and hospitals provide. Safety must come first. You may want to check with the Plastic Surgery Association of Thailand for a list of certified specialists to make sure you will be in safe hands.

When you are certain about the surgeon, make sure that the place you'll be admitted to has all the required facilities.

Some people may consider using a clinic as the costs are usually more attractive. According to the doctors, minor surgery, such as eyelid and nose, can be carried out safely by specialists at clinics.

However, operations that require anaesthetic, such as breast enlargement, liposuction and gender reassignment, must be conducted on a hospital operating table, Dr Supot said.

``The reason is that there is always the risk of sudden side-effects from any surgery. Therefore, it's necessary to have specialised doctors and equipment in place so safety is not compromised.''

Next, you need to set aside enough time to recover. Eye and nose procedures can take as little as 45 minutes but patients will need three days to a week to recover.

As with any service, cosmetic surgery costs vary depending on the type of provider. Costs are tied to specialists' fees, type of prosthesis, medical equipment used, type of hospital room and the number of days the client wishes to stay.

For instance, the total cost of eyelid surgery at a top private hospital can be 20,000 to 60,000 baht, more if the client decides to spend a day in hospital. At state-run hospitals, the cost is about 4,000 to 10,000 baht.

These days, most hospitals offer cosmetic surgery packages, so clients can work out their expenses before going ahead. For instance, at Yanhee Hospital, eyelid surgery costs 9,500 baht while nose surgery is 9,900 baht.

However, Dr Karoon says clients should save more for any unexpected costs.

He also counsels caution because the most frequently found problem with plastic surgery is the difference between what the patient expects and what she gets.

Clients have been dissatisfied with the results, he says, sometimes because of a lack of communication.

``Expectation is intangible, it's something in the air. The surgeon and patients understand the word `beautiful' differently. Thus, the outcome can sometimes turn out to be different from patients' expectations.''

Moreover, in some cases patients ask surgeons to achieve something that is physically impossible.

``For example, many patients ask the doctor to make their noses even more prominent than their original [structure] can allow. So, doctors have to turn down the request. This can't be compromised and can upset the patient,'' he added.

To prevent any complications, the surgeons suggest the clients go through what they want thoroughly and ask questions until they totally understand the outcome.

I was just looking through this thread, Gif is very pretty. Her tits looked fine before the surgery, I guess she just wanted bigger ones. To be perfectly honest, her natural small breasts are more appealing than the new large breasts. They do look good though, just that I got a glimpse of passt history.

I think it is all about cleavage and how they look all dressed up. They look in the mirror and want that cleavage. Way back, I had a gf that would duct tape her boobs together. Yes, made for some great cleavage for the public eye but I never understood why. I guess it's to get attention. Never was a boob dude.

I like nice legs which follows to a nice ass.

A friend of mine was telling me of a recent score with some woman that had F cups. My reaction - "gross". his reaction - "no it wasn't." I don't know, F cups wuld seem so freakish.

Tits are great for fondling when making out but the backside is the visual that gets me going, balls or not.

we were out shooting pool with Gif and Stogie a few nights after the operation and she was so happy and so proud of her new boobs.

I remember her pulling down her top and looking at them in the mirror of the bar. To paraphraze a Seinfeld quote, "they may not be real but they're spectacular"!!!
