Well, I arrived the night before (12 Jan 08) to BKK and after getting some rest, got up the courage to go to Guess Bar on 13 Jan 08. I arrived around 1110 pm as a few of the girls were lounging outside the Bar. It was a bit intimidating at first to walk in, but I was on a mission to go there after reading all the posts about how great Guess Bar is.
I have to admit, the Guess Bar is a top notch place to hang out. When I first entered, I noticed the Bar stools on the right, and the couches hidden to the left, with 2 pool tables in the back. After I entered, I was first asked to sit on the couches, but after reading the posts I determined it was safer to go to the bar first, to take it all in.
I was greeted by three girls at first, and I wish I could remember all their names, but my euphoria was at a high....I ordered a Singh Ha and stared at the TV for the first few minutes. The girls were very nice and were asking the typical questions..."what is your name, where are you from, how long you stay here.....It was at this point that I gave three of them drinks, since they took the time out to chat with me.
After about 20 minutes and some small talk, I was asked by "Fah" I think, if i wanted to play pool. Since I an a newbie and have not been with a LB yet, I eagerly agreed. I saw Jay in the corner with a gentlemen (which I assumed was Marhdi), but again my nervousness prevented me from asking the gentlemen, "Hey, are you Marhdi from the AsianTS forum." (By the way I was in blue jeans and a green polo shirt, in case that was Marhdi, so I apologize in advance for not talking to you).
I played a few games of pool, I believe it was with Fah, but again, not great with names. I was taking in the atmosphere and couldnt believe I was finally in Guess Bar seeing all the talent that everyone has been talking about.
Fah kept asking me to tell her who I liked, but again, it was alot to take in for a newbie, and since I wasn't talking to any of the forum members, I felt hesitant to commit and barfine anyone.
Well, I am going to go to Guess again on 14 Jan around 7pm, and I hope to chat with any of the forum members, so they can give me some tips and pointers on who is a good selection.
Well,to sum it all up, I didnt bar fine anyone but I have to admit that Guess Bar is great, and I hope to loosen up more on my second visit tomorrow and get the courage to bar fine
Thanks to all the posters on here who give guys like me an idea of what to expect prior to entering the bar!!!

Nice one Rob,just how I would be if I walked in there on My own ! Go for it man,just pick what takes your fancy,I'm sure any one of them would be good in the sack for a newbie like ya'self. Just keep us all posted & get some piccys if ya can.happy hunting mate !
