  • Apartments In Pattaya

Was planning to move to the Up 2 U Apartments but the soi dog problem is a deal killer.

So am looking for good Pattaya (or Jomtien)values.

    1) Must be relatively free of nasty soi dogs

    2) Must be furnished, nothing fancy but I'm not buying a bed.

    3) There must be a nearby pool I can use

    4) Strongly prefer tile floors

    5) prefer west of 3rd Road but must be west of Sukhumvit

    6) easy walk to some baht bus route

    7) wifi or good internet connection a big plus

I'm on a tight budget but will pay more to get more. I'm not going to live in a dump to save a few thousand baht.

If there's a place you think I might like please post or PM. Thanks!

What IS your budget because you can get a great, smallish, new clean apartment near CarreFour for around 5/6/7,000 baht a month.

Reconsider buying a bed. Most budget apartments have horrible beds with pissproof latex mattress coverings. And if you like your chipboard wardrobes with the name of your 'mansion' stenciled on the side in large white paint... Hmmm!

Pool, WiFi... Well, now yur budget is rising... but you should still get something 'out west' for around 8/9/10,000 baht.

In fact if you are a bit more flexible with your location you can get a house for that!

Yup, I'll be looking at lots of places.

My budget is flexible cause I'm looking for value.  So while I'd prefer to pay around 10K if a really great place was a bit more then I'd go for it.

Re bed, I don't want to bogged down with possesions; I want my first place to be simple in case I want to move.

As far as location it must be near a baht bus (obscure baht bus route OK) as I don't like mototaxis.

Around Carefour is OK, but did not like the vibe of the Nirun Condo.

But a place where nasty soi dogs are hassling me every night is unacceptable.

I need access to a pool but am under the impression that if my place doesn't have one I can use a pool for about 1K a month.

I know that this may seem obvious to you, but have you scanned the Pattaya weekly papers?

They always have a multitude of ads for apartments and houses for rent.

Somehow this hadn't occured to me. I associate Pattaya Mail with Beach Road muggings and until 5 minutes ago hadn't looked.

I figured a transexual porn site would be a better place to find lodging.

If you can wait until low season to move you will likely have the pick of apartments and maybe get a better deal.

well there are some nice appartments but u gotta look by yourself when u are there...

when u arrive pattaya stay in hotel 1-2 days and rent a motorbike and drive through every soi.. and ask and look into many rooms.

PS: internet connection is not included in room. you must pay extra, also for sophon Cable-Tv, water + electric, etc.

If you can go to 10k then this place isn't too bad:

                        http://www.diamondcitypattaya.com/index.html

......... or maybe here (but no wi-fi):

Both places are on the South Pattaya Rd baht bus route.

                          Thanks Malakor!

Diamond City is exactly what I'm looking for at a price I can afford. Will check it out!

Is it right on Pattaya Tai? Many would think that's too busy but to me a plus to be away from soi dogs.
