  • Nick ~ Cocktails & Dreams - RIP

I heard that Nick had passed away but I can't confirm it.

    Anyone?

Heard the rumour also. Let's hope it is a false alarm.

A nice bloke, I walked into C&D for the first time, and he bought me a beer and spent a good hour telling me where I can find layboys other than at C&D and how to get around Phuket.

In whch case it's a sad day for us.

Nick was an energetic, enigmatic and interesting character in our line of interest.

He put Phuket on the ladyboy map and welcomed many (even some Yanks) with open arms and genuine hospitality.

It's no misuse of the phrase to say that he will be missed.

I still have the daft gift he gave me the last time i met him in Bangkok... now I'll treasure it even more.

          RIP NIck...

It seems we have confirmation from his ex partner Ning Nong.

She's in a bit of a state but was able to pass on the fact that he was found in his bed - although it's not clear what the cause is just yet.

Jimbo isn't picking up his phone in the UK so I'm not sure he even knows yet.

Oh Jeez... this is such bad news. I met Nick just about a year ago at C&D's in the weeks of Jimbo's absence & he was such a friendly & engaging guy, we had several rounds of drinks over the nights.... RIP Nick

Heard last night - a big shock for all concerned especially Ning Nong.

                          Wow, that is sad news.

Was kind of under the impression that Nick may have been ailing in recent years, but it never stopped him from being positive and amiable. Always greeted me with a smile when I walked into the bar. And he was so enthusiastic about his new business ventures.

As Bumpa said, he put Phuket on the ladyboy map. That's quite a legacy in our world.

We hope you're in a better place, Nick.

I'll see what I can find out. I saw him just over a week ago and he seemed fine and looked fit. Sad news- he was a great bloke.
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here
