if you leave on sat (or fri night) you have 4 extra days for your trip but only have to take 2 extra vacation days. you'll be really glad u did.

bottom line, as Bam also suggested, make your vacation as long as possible even if it means spending less per day. thailand (especially pattaya) is just not all that expensive.

Thailand gets 10 Million tourists a year, this is probably the easiest country in the world to be a tourist in. Getting to Pattaya from Bangkok is easier than getting from SD to Tjiunna (and a hell of a lot nicer).

This is my favorite tour book, lots of pretty pictures.
      Dk BOOK

Its very easy to get around, buses can take take you to local destinations like Pattaya, Ayuthaya, Lop Buri -- which can be day trips. The domestic airlines are cheap and you can go to Phuket or Chiang Mai whenevr you want.

Figure out where you might want to go, but don't make any plans. Just wing it. On my first trip I hooked up with a great LB after a week and together we travelled around N. Thailand

I've finished budgeting, and after the plane tix and the hotel I will have approx. $350.00 USD/Night for a 9 night stay.
that's a lot of green in Thailand per day.... you will have a ball

and the Omni is a great choice for BKK hotels, costs about 70 bucks per night; $280 more should be enough to have fun LOL

It is my personal belief that a "true gentleman" of proper unbringing and manners Never discusses his finances in a a public forum. Rather crass in my opinion. Is your per diem suppose to impress?

No, not supposed to impress...sorry to let down your put down. Simply stating for input and feedback reasons.
Also, not to make anyone mad, but do you really consider this to be a "true gentlemans" forum?

Hey Pogue, give the kid a break, he has plenty of time to become a gentleman.

But I'm not sure how you'll be able to spend although at money. In Pattaya 100 bucks a day is good for hotel, one shorttime, one longtime (all night), a massage, food and lots of Beer Chang.

I really wish I knew about the LOS when I was younger. All the money I'd spend on spring break trips and maybe not get laid, it was ridiculous.

Thailand was not on my radar. Probably cause no internet. We had to go to the movies to watch porn!

F**k. If it is, I am certainly in the wrong place!!

US$370 per day?? No way will you be able to spend that.

(Omni studios less than US$50 per day, and still much bigger than most hotel rooms)

15K baht is more than the receptionist at your hotel makes all month!
