Just about every provincial capital city in the east (Buri Ram, Si Sa Ket) and northeast have an annual festival (not Songkhran) peculiar (historical, agricultural, etc.) to something in the province. At each of these festivals there are many, many activities including girl and LB beauty contests.
Many colleges and universities in Thailand have beauty contests, including LB and Miss AC/DC, etc.
I've met quite a few pretty LB's from Buri Ram and Si Sa Ket. I may go out to Buri Ram to visit one in May. I have never been in this area before as I spend most of my time in Isaan in Kalasin (~ 200 km north of Buri Ram). On any given day I might see ~ 45 LB's in/around the city, many are quite pretty and could work as prostitutes in the foreign-centered sex trade if they wanted.
I agree that the LB's in Isaan are not as sculpted as those working in Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. Not a lot of money for all the injections, silicone and operations. I happen to like the natural look.
