i thought everybody checked unlocked bags at the airport now that security goes thru everything and demands access. not that those flimsy little locks matter much to anybody who wants into a nylon soft-sided duffle bag that holds all my american socks, comfy underwear and give-away lipgloss and victoria's secret panties that assure shorttimes are good times.
but bottomline: there ain't no lock strong enough to encourage me to be packing weed in an airport. no matter HOW wasted i might have been when i left the house.

and you are totally right about there being a lack of need for getting high while in thailand. with thousands of ladyboys still to see, who has time for the munchies?

One of the things I love most about BKK is the weed, but I'm very careful about where I imbide and who I imbide with and I never go anywhere without a vial of clean piss with me..........never seen the piss test deals at the bars and hope never to but before you want to think about messing with drugs in a foreign country watch "Midnight Express" and "Brokedown Palace" which simulated a drug arrest in Bangkok.......you get busted in some foreign countries and they don't give diddly fuck where you're from or how much money you have

I don't know if Bali-Ken lives in Australia or where he gets his infomation from but here are the facts as reported by reputable sources. " The Australian" and " The Bulletin"

(1) Schappelle Corby worked in her family owned fish shop in Southport Queensland which was a highly profitable buisness and as reported by ATO yearly turnover exceeded $600,00.00 aus  ( as i have posted a few times i owned restaurants and cafes in Brisbane and these figures are not unusual for fish and chips in high density areas. A serving of good fish and chips now costs about $9.00aus Thats about 1000 people per week and also remember they buy drinks, cigs etc.

(2) Scahpelle Corby and her sister Mercedes have never worked as prostitutes or in clubs as table dancers or such.There has never been any official news reports or even rumours to surport this.

(3) Schappele Corby has never been asscused by the police in Australia of been associated with any one known to be possessing or distributing drugs up to her arrest in Bali. It has now serfucied that her brother has a police record for drug abuse and possesion. He is now in prison awaiting trial for a home invasion and assult of accussed drug distributors. Her 1/2  brother is of Tongan origin and it is reported he belongs to the Pacific gangs that plauge some of Brisbanes outer suburbs.

(4) The Australian Taxpayer has contibuted over $13,000.00 to Corbys legal costs but this money has to be payed back. This service applies to all Australians in foreign countries.

INMHO I beleive that it is quite possible that her brother bought the  drugs with out her knowing. This is quite possible as it was James ( brother ) who carried her boogie board for her.  Her sister is married to a Indonesian and their are no official police reports or even rumours suggesting that her brother in-law or sister were involved with drugs in Bali.

Yes her mother and sister have been payed for news interviews. Her mother sold the fish shop so she could live in Bali and to surrport Schappele during the trial. She now lives in Bali and these interviwes are her only source of income. The money that Mercedes earned was payed to the Australian Government to repay Schappeles leagl bills which are on going .

Who knows if she did or didn't do it, but do u think it is fair spreading rumours about another person who is living in a cell with 15 other people for 20 years and who can not defend themself.

I have never met Corby or any one from their family, I just want to be fair about what people say about others that they have never met or dont really know the facts.
Just becasue it is in a news report or Television report doesn't mean it is true. Becuse Corbys brother is a bad egg does not mean she is tarred with the same brush but I guess thats why In Australia so many people are interestd in her case.
Also this week in Australia it has been officaily confirmed by Australian Customs that their were faulty security cameras operating at Sydney airport at the time of Corbys travel. This further muddys the water that pehaps someone did tamper with her board.
Also becasue Corby is a  convicted drug trafficker she does not qualify for day release. To my thinking do u really think it is a holiday sharing a cell with 15 others and  your toliet is a 12 inch by 12 inch open ditch in the corner of the cell.
Maybe she is covering for her brother but some how i don't think she is that dumb. If she ever got out of jail ,because of Australian law she can not earn money form interviewes and she can not receive any income while in jail either. IMHO i think her brother maybe had something to do with it and Corby found out to late and when the shit was being loaded on the palne.She is doing it tough, there is no other way to put it, it is not a holiday camp, she  is doing hard time and all i can say is thank fuck it aint me.

One place it goes is the US telling its citizens that they may be prosecuted for violating US laws IN OTHER COUNTRIES WHERE THAT ACTION IS NOT A CRIME! Top that with a healthy dose of selective enforcement and you come up with one of the biggest WTFs that I can think of.

Hello Bali Ken.
Confirming much of what you say,the Gold Coast casino crowd say Corby's elder
brother a ''well known identity".In fairness to chapelle she was simply described as an ''airhead''.The younger brother was arrested and charged last month with serious offences,home invasion,assault,robbery etc.
The brother was apprehended with the money and drugs and it appeared his accomplices were co-operating with the authorities.
In the media shots of his arrest he is a big tough looking lad,not the know nothing innocent boy at the Bali/Corby arrest.
It should be remembered that the boogie belonged to the lad not Chapelle.
The lad,if convicted,will probably spend longer in prison than Chapelle.
With both the victims and his accomplices lining up to give evidence,he seems doomed.
I find it amusing that so many people are convinced of her innocene.
Nobody in that family is innocent.Degree of guilt is arguable.

On a lighter note I think chapelle is probably a genius.A 27 year old unemployed student who can afford 5 trips to bali in 3 years should be appointed Prime Minister/Treasurer/Minister for Finance/Governor of the Reserve Bank.

Hate to pick here but she has no brother who lives or ownes a surf shop in Bali. Her sister is married to a Balinese and he is a teacher. They have never owned a surf shop , it was rumour started 13 months ago and was reported as faLse in the "Australian " in 2005 and at her trial.
