(mister_smith @ Aug. 25 2007,00:37) nope London Uk with it's miserable weather, rampant crime, ugly overweight women and swan eating asylum seekers
    Don't forget former KGB assassins.
Retired the top 12.  Need a new dirty dozen.

Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon.  Is it possible to find 5 more?  Until then, GGs:  Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.

Thaksin knows that he can live in the UK and legally pay very little tax. He only gets taxed on any money he holds in the UK. Most of his assets are probably in a tax free Swiss bank account.

This scam for the rich was introduced about 5 years ago by that great Socialist Gordon Brown.

(post-op lover @ Aug. 25 2007,03:04) How dare you refer to me as British!

I think London is awful.  The rest of England seems okay.  And a pretty English girl with a nice accent can seduce me.        Blonde caucasian, Asian (oriental, very likely not Pakistani, whom the Brits also call "Asian"), it doesn't matter (how open minded is that!  ).  I don't give much thought to British men, they're just part of the background.

Despite disliking London, it was the bus and train bombings that really pissed me off about religious fanatics, even more than happened with 9/11.  No nation, especially not one that seems so tolerant of religions and religious fanatic immigrants, deserves that crap.  The response should be far worse than the Irish ever got.

No no no POL..it wasn't directed to you sorry I know you are in the U.S. of A.
Well..I've seen very little about the rest of England, and never been to Scotland and other parts of the UK.
Why do you find London awful?

I think London's backward. Consider the rep it has to live up to as a cultural mecca. It's not as advanced as Tokyo. It's not as sophisticated as Paris. It's not even as clean as New York. If you can't be as clean as NYC, then what's the point. The trains didn't run on time, Heathrow is shit, even the Indian food was prepared to low standards.

In any comparison to any other major world city (in developed countires) that I can think of, it loses. That would make it come dead last. What's worse, though, is that it has a reputation that it no longer lives up to.

Its most redeeming quality is its proximity to anywhere else in Europe that I'd prefer to be, including many other places in England, but that's only in comparison to starting a trip from the US.

I tried to list 3 major things I like in London, but I can only think of one: the British Museum, minus the staff and curators (they suck).

It's easier to think of three things I like about Stonehenge. The rocks, the beautiful hills, and the towns nearby. In all those years since then, I'm not sure England has managed to top Stonehenge.

Hmm..always good to read your comments on any topic POL!!
They burst with objectivity, and this is what I like most.
I admit having been there a few times only, and on 9AM to 6PM museums museums & museums only trekking
So, perhaps was a bit of a one sided view.
But I did like the place in general although your observations are quite correct.

London, whether you like it or not, is still the centre of the Financial World.

It boasts more billionaires than any other city and has the best shopping and restaurants outside of Paris.

Maybe it is a little dirty, big deal. London has a buzz that is wholly great, and is in fact a very safe city for tourists and residents. Cant say that about NY or any other US City.

Where did you eat Indian food? in a tourist restaurant in the centre or Brick lane, or did you head out into one of the Asian neighbourhoods?
One thing about London is that you can get a great curry. or a 3 star michelin rated meal. Food in the UK has definitely got a whole lot better in the last 20 years.

Heathrow is a shit tip, but it is also the busiest airport in the world, and it actually, for the most part, works. You can get to all corners of the globe and we are lucky in that we have some os the lowest fares in the western world.
seriously pig headed, arrogant, double standard smart ass poster!

Well maybe you can't relate to this but I have whats known as a life, I go to bars and clubs with my mates, have a season ticket for my football team, go to see live bands in short have IMHO a decent social life.

Since coming into my modest inheritence I've cut my work to 20 hours a week ( this is basically to stop me from being bored not due to financial necessity)

From next year I'll be making arrangements to work 9 months of the year and spending the other 3 somewhere hot ( maybe spain or one of the greek islands)

I'm not some guy who works in a job they hate saving up every penny foregoing a social life just to spend a few weeks every year coming to Thailand.

There's more to life than Ladyboys thats why for me 2 weeks max in Thailand once a year then I just want to get the fuck out
It's never okay for men to cry! You know who cries? Girls. And little babies. And little baby girls.

Wahaaay! Good for you! I wish I was back in the UK watching footy and "going to clubs with me mates!"

For fuck sake! I'd rather have my bollocks caught in a mangle than go to a UK night club and watch the cows milking the farmers! Footy? Cor - yes please, guvnor! What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon is there than to be soaked in lager, praying for a goal! I'll spend my time doing the scoring, thanks!

in short have IMHO a decent social life...

I don't know why you persist in calling all the girls in the UK fat & Ugly there's plenty of drop dead gorgeous girls with fantastic bodies over here checkout any shopping mall in the daytime or decent club in the evening. but then again you know that don't you stogie?

Only problem is none of these girls would give you a second look thats why you stay in the Third World to buy your cheap sex.

And yeah I reckon I do have a good social life the atmosphere in any decent club here beats the shit out of those pathetic (from what I seen) ones in BKK.

Plus going out with a crowd of your mates is IMHO preferable to paying a prostitute for companionship.

Your obviously very happy in the old dart (as was I before I saw the light and found somewhere better ). So why the fuck do you post on the forum having a shot at people that enjoy a different lifestyle to you?
Different stokes and all that, hope you enjoyed another balmy summer
When I were a lad we had the one thing that money can't buy...poverty

I post on the forum because I too enjoy the company and sexual pleasure of a LB (when I can get it)

and if you read the whole thread properly you'll see that it was Stogie that first had a shot at me for saying that Thailand was enjoyable as an holiday destination but no way would I want to live there

And thanks I did enjoy the summer don't care about the weather
