This all seems rather subjective. It seems like everyone has someone they feel is the best. Even looking at the Rolling Stone list I was amazed Kirk Cobain was on the list. Anyway, just gonna put my 3 favorites.

2. Carlos Santana

Naaaa..... Cat Stevens ain't a great guitar player, just a controversial figure who made some mellow stoner songs in the 70's
