I like all kinds of pizza. But having been a bachelor in New York, for a long time a slice from any Sal's was my bread and butter, as it were.

New York pizza has a taste that cannot come close to being duplicated elsewhere. They say "it's because of the water" (which, believe it or not, is some of the best in the world). I don't know if it's the best pizza, but there are times when I crave it more than just about anything else.

Lemme gedda slice! (Let us also give a nod to the NYC pizzeria experience.)

The answer is Italy first, then New York

Best one I ever had was in Trieste.

2nd best was in Napoli - tried to find it a second time to take Herself there but could not find it!

The Tesco's Finest range as sold in the UK is not a bad for an off the shelf one though I add anchovies and black olives to help the flavour.
