Guy, there are all sorts of scumbags in the world, but you and I can only be responsible for our word. From what I know of you, I would find it highly unlikely that you would promise a "sponsored" girl that you would not post her photo, then turn around and renege on your promise.

Without honor, we have nothing. If they have no honor... that's their problem.

I take your point. It is odd for me to be on the side of a lying, conniving & scheming LB but I wanted to put the case for the girls when they get their picture posted against their will so the poster can appreciate the ramifications of their actions.

There are no completely innocent parties here but the photographer may or may not get abused before returning home to his comfortable lifestyle in the west. Meanwhile the girl has to face life without the comfort of that regular payment.

Whether she deserves it or not is another story, but in some cases the amount of money she stands to lose is a fortune by Thai standards.

Imagine if they were doing it to us? We wouldn't half be screaming the place down...

Paccie, it is indeed a tangled web. As above, I'm not the kind to advocate stirring the pot or even taking a 'you-get-what-you-deserve' attitude.

That said, the ones who cry loudest in these affairs often only have themselves to blame. As for 'losing' the money..would you have the Sponsor continue to fund a lie ? Tough titties I say. She'll find another. The Pros always do

That is a rather breathtaking analysis, if I may say so. I believe the converse to be closer to the truth. The fact is that of the 500 VIP members, only a dozen or so actually post. The vast majority are lurkers or Tubesurfers.

A quick squizz on the 'Other Forum' shows a dozen or more active TRs for December. Maybe they haven't heard of 'heros' or are just carefree...I also got quite a few updates on the various Bars that I haven't read here. And from some who choose to post there now but not here..They only post here on a 'cameo' basis.. Newbies asking questions, getting answers or a slap. Just like the good old days ... Where are the Newbies here ?

I believe that the lack of new blood is causing this Forum to atrophy. I don't begrudge anyone wanting to make a living out of it, and Lord knows Bumpa puts in a lot (even if sometimes it's just to plumpen the beast for a prospective sale ). And I love this place because it is special for so many reasons.

But a Forum lives and dies by INput. By restricting access, as has been the VIP model, I think we have seen that freshness replaced by a comfortable clique.

Nothing wrong with having a Club of a few good men. But in the end, they are paying for the privilege of providing 'content' for Lurkers. A mere sideshow to the free porn. A rather hollow victory IMO

I love the Forum and the Staff and all the years of banter, bickering and bullshit

Maybe Bumpa will sell and then Stogie can set up a new Forum and we can all take the gloves off again and have fun

This hero stuff has been going on for ages and not just on this forum. It a shame for us posters but regardless what a forum does to curb it, it will always affect that forum in some way.

It is sad to see fewer 'fresh' trip reports. I do miss the 'Holy shit! This stuff really happens in that country?' feeling that I would get when I first started reading this forum.

Interestingly, I've recently (2 days ago) had a phone call with Cindy and she said 'Someone tell me he see photo of me when we go Pattaya that you put on internet.' Thankfully, I only post G rated photos and she knows that. She was not mad and trusts that I only post good stuff about her. So, no problem there.

Is it the case of a hero trying to score or just an innocent conversation between a popular LB and a long time client who said 'Hey! Saw a photo of you on internet. You looked good.'? Don't know, nor do I worry about it. Life goes on...and she is still happy to talk to me.

Having been away (not jail - work) for a while and only able to dip in to do my NFL picks - lying third from bottom as we write - I have to say that I find the current forum an improvement on the old open days. If you look back at some of the bollocks that filled the posts a couple of years back I think you'll see what I mean - remember the death threats to Stogie from another BM (think it was Costas - apologies if wrong) and some of the crap that passed as trip reports.

Yes back when I first joined we had a series of TRs from Billy69 which I always found a good read and of course the wonderful Rob69 - a true gent and a writer of humorous prose so that I can't walk round Asda without seeing Hippos. But many more were just hopeless rubbish.

Now this might be the opinion of what has been called a tubesurfer (I don't lurk I am up there to be seen) but I find the current forum a superior place that anyone can join if they shell out a modest sum and how many worthwhile things come for free - not too many I would suggest.

All this despite the fact that apparently I rate a zero on the members rating and apart from wondering   is a members rating I would like to have it clearly understood that I have been rated as a zero by a few other organisations so don't take it personally.

Of course when I rule the world.......
